They haven't exactly gone cold on them but Origin team selections have finally caused some serious thought among NRL.com tipsters when it comes to the Panthers.

For most of the last two years (apart from the 2020 grand final) the Panthers were as close to a banker as you were likely to find.

But this week, with seven players on Origin duty and Moses Leota out suspended, six of the 16 panel members are backing the Wests Tigers to hand them a first loss of 2021.

Of the other three Telstra Premiership matches for this weekend, the Storm and Eels and the warmest of favourites and Broncos are given some chance of upsetting the Dragons.

On the Origin front, the Blues have proven extremely popular.

On the tipping leaderboard, NRL Teams host Niav Owens now sits in top courtesy after six correct tips last weekend. Fantasy NRL mystery man Lone Scout shares top spot but is second on a countback. That pair enjoy a three-point lead over the chasing pack.
