Dragons fullback Matt Dufty.

The first of the major bye rounds came and went with half the competition plus Origin players unavailable, with plenty of the remaining NRL Fantasy guns also posting underwhelming scores.

Winners

In-form Storm half Jahrome Hughes topped the round with 84, guiding his under-strength team to a win over the Titans.

His teammate, rookie back-rower Trent Loiero (77), was second-best of the round while Brandon Smith (68) was also heavily involved in the win.

A trio of Eels posted 70-plus scores in Sunday's huge win over the Knights with all of Clint Gutherson (79), Maika Sivo (77) and Ryan Matterson (73) cashing in.

Matt Dufty (70) and Ben Hunt (68) were both superb in the Dragons' big win over the Broncos while Brisbane half Albert Kelly (66) has three try-assists in the first half and is shaping as an excellent cash cow. His halves partner Tyson Gamble (46) is also set to make a bit more cash.

Tyrone Peachey (57) bounced back despite starting from the interchange, Greg Marzhew's long-awaited NRL debut netted 46 with a try while potential cash cow Brodie Jones (42) registered a serviceable score in a big-minute back row role.

Arthur confident Mahoney's injury not long term

Losers

Mitch Moses (25) and Isaiah Papali'i (34) missed out on the points-fest against the Knights and were handed early marks by their coach while Reed Mahoney (61) scored well but suffered a shoulder injury late that is set to rule him out for at least a couple of weeks.

Moses Mbye (27) was another whose score was affected by injury, though it is hoped he won't miss any games.

Reimis Smith (23) scored a try but is facing a two-match ban for an incident that also led to him being sin-binned.

Ponga's readiness for Origin II in doubt

David Nofoaluma and Justin Olam (both 22) missed out on the points in their teams' respective wins.

And while it wasn't a terrible score, Nicho Hynes's (47) first sub-50 outing since round eight was bad news for those who took a punt on him as captain.

The recent form of Jayden Brailey (42) has to be a concern as well, with a three-round average of 42 after scoring 55 or better every week through the first 10 rounds.
