Nathan Cleary is missing and all of a sudden the Panthers aren't the tipping banker they've been over the last two years.

With the Telstra Premiership back for the last 10 weeks before the finals, the battle for tipping supremacy in competitions everywhere is sure to heat up.

With Cleary expected to miss at least the next four weeks, both tipsters and opposition sides are sure to look at the Panthers in a different way.

Friday's Panthers-Eels meeting is now a coin flip and easily the most vexing match of the round.

While the likes of Manly, South Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Cronulla are hot favorites, the Warriors and Dragons match in Gosford was another to cause thought for a moment or two.

On the tipping leaderboard, Queensland's win over NSW in the women's Origin match has resulted in Fantasy NRL mystery man Lone Scout opening up a one point lead over NRL Teams host Niav Owens.

Remember, it's not too late to sign up for NRL Tipping.

Anyone can start or join a "comp" to compete against family, friends and colleagues – all you need to get started is to sign up for a free NRL account.

If you need help on how each team is travelling, Jamie Soward's Power Rankings is the best place to go for an accurate gauge on who's travelling well and who's doing not so well.
