Round 23 charges: Dogs duo, Klemmer among five banned; Milford fined

Bulldogs prop Luke Thompson's season is over after he accepted a crusher tackle charge at the judiciary.

Thompson was facing a three-game ban but reduced it to two with an early plea. The suspension would have been one week if not for Thompson having three previous offences in the last two years counting against him.

His Bulldogs teammate Corey Waddell has copped a one-week ban for a contrary conduct offence. Waddell also received a fine of $1350 for a dangerous contact incident on Mitch Barnett in the loss to the Knights. 

Newcastle prop David Klemmer would have missed two matches if he challenged his contrary conduct charge but has halved his ban with an early plea.

On Sunday, the Rabbitohs announced that forward Keaon Koloamatangi had entered an early guilty plea and will miss two matches. He will be back for the finals.

Koloamatangi was charged over a crusher tackle on Penrith winger Brent Naden on Friday night.

Manly's Tevita Funa was the only other player suspended from round 23 - he has taken a two-match verdict after being charged by the match review committee over an incident from Friday night's win over Canberra.

Funa was cited over a shoulder charge, with prior offences taking his suspension from one match to two matches.

Sharks forward Briton Nikora, Eels hooker Joey Lussick, Panthers forward Scott Sorensen and Titans duo Ash Taylor and Sam McIntyre each received fines for minor offences.

Broncos five-eighth Anthony Milford entered an early guilty plea on Tuesday and will pay an $1150 fine for a contrary conduct offence.
