Roosters five-eighth Sam Walker.

Roosters playmaker Sam Walker proved you can cram a lot into nine minutes as he produced a match-winning cameo to sink the Titans in Saturday's elimination final.

With a clutch field goal and a try-saving tackle, the 19-year-old went flat-chat in the time he was on the park - averaging a huge 113.6 metres per minute, according to Telstra Tracker data.

Only Roosters prop Siosiua Taukeiaho, who injured his knee two minutes into his stint off the bench, finished ahead of Walker in the relative distance category for week one of the finals series.

Elsewhere, Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce left it all on the field as he clocked up a round-high 9.49km. That effort wasn't enough to save his team. Their season was ended by the Eels.

Tricolours general Drew Hutchison (9.42km), Panthers No.7 Nathan Cleary (9.11km) and Newcastle hooker Jayden Brailey (8.96km) were others who hardly stopped moving.

Sea Eagles winger Jason Saab made it three consecutive weeks at the summit of the maximum velocity category as he reached a top speed of 36.5km/h in a heavy loss to Melbourne.

The 20-year-old showed off his wheels when he hared after a long kick from Reuben Garrick and pounced on a Storm error to score a memorable try in the second half.

Melbourne rookie Isaac Lumelume, who got away from Saab to touch down for the opening four-pointer, ranked second with a top speed of 33.9km/h ahead of Manly star Tom Trbojevic (33km/h).

Garrick led the way for high-speed distance, racking up 680m at 20km/h or more. Rabbitohs youngster Jaxson Paulo (662m), Storm centre Justin Olam (638m) and Roosters skipper James Tedesco (624m) impressed in this aspect as well.
