Eels second-rower Marata Niukore has accepted a one-match ban next season after he was charged for a high tackle.
Niukore was handed a grade-one careless high tackle by the match review committee for his 65th-minute tackle on Penrith opponent Scott Sorensen in Saturday's 8-6 loss.
Due to four previous incidents over the past two years, he would have been banned two games if he had unsuccessfully challenged the charge at the judiciary.
Roosters forward Egan Butcher has copped a $1600 fine over a dangerous contact charge from a tackle on Manly's Haumole Olakau'atu in Friday night's semi-final loss.
Butcher was charged over the incident in the 44th minute of the match, and with two prior offences to his name, he faced a $2100 fine if had been found guilty at the judiciary.
Butcher's teammate Victor Radley was not charged over a potential striking incident, with inconclusive evidence capturing the moment in back play.
"Based on the available angles, the Bunker Review Official and the Match Review Committee were unable to determine if a punch was involved," an NRL spokesperson said.
