The NRL Telstra Women's Premiership grand final has arrived with the Dragons and Roosters set to collide for a history-making clash at Redcliffe's Moreton Daily Stadium.

After an enthralling six weeks of competition, the rescheduled 2021 season will come to a conclusion on Sunday with a new champion crowned.

"I would like to welcome the National Rugby League to the Moreton Bay Region to deliver the 2021 Telstra Women’s Premiership Grand Final at Moreton Daily Stadium," said Peter Flannery, Moreton Bay Region Mayor.

As one of the Dolphins’ biggest supporters, 2022 home to the Warriors and proud partners of the NRL, we are honoured to be part of this historic moment when the Telstra Women’s Premiership winner will be decided at the first ever stand-alone NRLW Grand Final.

When and where is the NRLW grand final?

The NRLW grand final is on this Sunday, April 10 at 1.30pm AEST from Moreton Daily Stadium.

St George Illawarra will play the Roosters in the competition's fourth decider.

What time do gates open?

Gates will open at 10.45am with a QRL under 19s curtain raiser between Wynnum and the Gold Coast to kick-off from 11.15am.

Given there are two teams from NSW in the final, can the game be moved to Sydney?

No, due to various agreements in place prior to the semi-finals on Sunday, the NRLW grand final will remain in Redcliffe.

What's on for the fans?

NRL partners are making the first NRLW grand final in Redcliffe one to remember. Be there to experience action on and off the field

Chemist Warehouse's House of Wellness van in the precinct to grab your mini football (subject to availability). Chemist Warehouse will also be giving two lucky fans in the stands the chance to come on field during half-time to win $5,000 cash in their zorb ball race.

To remember the day, Harvey Norman will be running a photo booth while there will be in-stand giveaways with fan cams from Ampol, KFC and Telstra plus Cadbury will be giving out free chocolate at the end of the game (subject to availability).

What is the history between the two teams?

The Dragons and Roosters have met on four occasions since 2018 for a 2-2 record. 

It is the first time they'll play each other in a grand final.

Have the Dragons and Roosters ever featured in a grand final?

Yes, the Dragons (2019) and Roosters (2018 and 2020) have both played on NRLW grand final day but were beaten by the Broncos on all occasions.

Who are previous winners of the NRLW grand final?

Brisbane are the three-time reigning champions, winning from 2018-2020.

Amber Hall wins Karyn Murphy Medal

What is the NRLW grand final player of the match awarded?

The player of the match will receive the Karyn Murphy medal, named after Jillaroos legend Karyn Murphy.

Previous winners of the medal include Kimiora Nati (2018), Annette Brander (2019) and Amber Hall (2020) - all of whom played for the Broncos. 

Does the NRLW trophy have a name?

No, unlike the men's Provan-Summons trophy, the NRLW trophy does not yet have a name and is referred to as the NRL Telstra Women's Premiership trophy.

Where can I watch the match?

If you can’t get to the game, grand final coverage will be shown live on Channel Nine, Kayo and Fox League. Check your local guides for more information.

What happens if scores are level after 70 minutes in the grand final?

In the case of a requirement for golden point in the grand final, five minutes extra time each way will be played (regardless of how many points are scored).

If, after 80 minutes, the game remains a draw, unlimited golden point will be played, with no change of ends or time limit, until a point is scored to determine the winner.

How many interchanges per side during a game?

There will be a total of 10 in regular time (with two interchanges available in the case of golden point)

Does the six-again rule apply in the NRLW?

No, teams will be awarded a penalty instead of a six-again repeat set.

Are there any other rules different from the NRL?

Yes, the 40/30 and 20/50 kick advantage rules will apply in the NRLW, providing further tactical kicking and unpredictability during matches.

What else will be in play during a game?

One on-field referee, NRL Bunker in use, injury surveillance - including the management of head injuries and/or concussion, judiciary procedures and shot clocks.

Why is this competition being called the 2021 competition when it's being played in 2022?

The delay of the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 means the upcoming season will still be referred to as the 2021 NRLW season, with a second competition to be scheduled later in the year prior to the World Cup.
