Kicking off an eighth year as a corporate partner of the NRL, P&O Cruises have launched a new P&O Group Holidays campaign in partnership with the league.

The campaign includes a 30-second TVC which features some of the game’s biggest names in an all-star spin on the classic heist movie genre.

Highlighting P&O Cruises’ long-time ability to deliver group holidays, the creative leverages the star power of some of the NRL’s most-loved players coming together to add their own spin on the classic ‘putting the team together’ sequence.

Talent in the TVC include: Josh Addo-Carr (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs), Clinton Gutherson (Parramatta Eels), Brian To’o (Penrith Panthers), Jess Sergis (Sydney Roosters), Damien Cook (South Sydney Rabbitohs), James Tedesco (Sydney Roosters) and Daly Cherry-Evans (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles).

The TVC will run in almost every Ch9 NRL game in Sydney & Brisbane, as well as general entertainment on Channel 9 & 10, plus in select games on Foxtel & Kayo, for four weeks from 24th April 2022. In addition to this, the campaign will be rolled out across BVOD, display and paid social channels.

Renewed again in 2022 with an increased investment, P&O Cruises have been a corporate partner of the NRL since 2015, cementing their standing as footy’s favourite cruise line. The partnership compliments P&O Cruises corporate relationships with the Queensland Rugby League and South Sydney Rabbitohs.

In previous years, the partnership has formed the basis for some of P&O Cruises most popular itineraries including the incredibly successful State of Origin Main Event cruises and special members-only events, such as the Rabbitohs Red & Green Cruise and Maroons Members Cruise.

P&O Cruises Australia Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ryan Taibel said the launch of the campaign is another important milestone in the long-standing relationship between P&O Cruises and the NRL.

“Launching our P&O Group Holidays offering with some of the NRL’s most-loved players has brought to life the simplicity and fun of getting your crew together for a long overdue holiday,” Mr. Taibel said.

“Whether you are after a jam-packed holiday filled with activities, day after day spent laying by the pool, or on-demand experiences whenever you want them, P&O Cruises are made for group holidays.”

”The NRL has a long and successful partnership with P&O Cruises and this latest campaign takes that collaboration to the next level,” NRL Executive General Manager - Partnerships Jaymes Boland-Rudder said.

“P&O have illustrated over a number of years a strong passion for the support of Rugby League. Having our players involved in such a vibrant and unique way is a great step forward for what has been an incredibly successful partnership.”
