NRL Late Mail: Round 19

Cowboys v Wests Tigers, Sunday 4.05pm at Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Cowboys: A late positional change for the home side with former Tiger Luciano Leilua moving back to the bench and Jamayne Taunoa-Brown promoted to the starting side. Maroons trio Val Holmes, Tom Dearden and Jeremiah Nanai are back on deck after being rested in Round 18 while Murray Taulagi (COVID protocols) is also back. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow goes to the bench and Ben Hampton, Connelly Lemuelu and Tom Chester drop out.

Wests Tigers: The visitors are 1-17. James Roberts and David Nofoaluma dropped out after both men missed Round 18 due to illness. Brent Naden is back on the wing after serving a four-game ban. Veteran James Tamou moves into the starting side in his 300th NRL game, pushing Zane Musgrove to the bench. Tyrone Peachey and Alex Seyfarth are the new faces on the bench.

The Tigers confirmed on Wednesday that Brett Kimmorley did not travel with the team to Townsville after testing positive for COVID. Assistant Coaches Ben Gardiner and Nathan Cayless will take charge of the team in Kimmorley's absence.
