AFLW convert Brooke Walker gets first shot at the No.6 jersey, while off-season signing Vanessa Foliaki and co-captain Simaima Taufa both start in the forward pack.

Roosters: Veteran fullback Samantha Bremner is back after a couple of years out due to pregnancy, joining a talented backline which includes New South Wales star Jessica Sergis and skipper Isabelle Kelly. Dragons: A familiar looking line-up with 13 players who featured in last year's Grand Final squad named in the 17. There is no room for new recruit Shontelle Stowers at this stage, although she could be a late inclusion from the reserves. NSW U-19 player Andie Robinson will make her NRLW debut on the wing.

Titans: The NRLW's reigning top try-scorer, Madison Bartlett, and fellow off-season signing Apii Nicholls are the new additions to a star-studded backline. Premiership-winning forward Rona Peters is set to come off the bench, but at this stage there is no room for veteran forward Annette Brander, who is listed in the wider reserves.

Knights: Jesse Southwell has won the race to partner Kirra Dibb in the halves, and is named in the No.7 jersey ahead of World Cup winner Caitlin Moran, who is listed as the replacement player. Southwell's older sister Hannah, who has 16 NRLW appearances to her name, starts at lock. Big-name recruits Tamika Upton and Millie Boyle will make their club debut at fullback and prop respectively.

Broncos: Kiwi Ferns prop Annetta Nu'uausala, who was the Knights NRLW Player of the Year in the 2021 season, is a surprise omission. New signings Jamie Chapman and Nita Maynard are part of the club's new-look spine, while fellow off-season recruit Crystal Tamarua is named to come off the bench.
