To'o, Chapman hit top gear in Telstra Tracker

Panthers powerhouse Brian To'o was the pick of the NRL  speedsters for round 24, clocking a maximum velocity of 36.4 kilometres per hour on the Telstra Tracker in his side's victory over the Warriors.

To'o's top speed saw him finish well clear of Manly rookie Kaeo Weekes (35.4 km/h), while Titans back-rower Beau Fermor joined Haumole Olakau'atu from the Sea Eagles as the two forwards who clocked speeds in the top 10 for the round.

When it came to distance covered at high speeds, Parramatta skipper Clint Gutherson topped the round for the most amount of ground covered above 20 km/h for the second week in a row, finishing with an 885 metre haul

The fullback was also top for distance covered at speeds about 25 km/h, finishing the game with 291 sprint metres.

Fermor's effort earned him a top 10 spot in the high speed distance category too, with 630 metres of running above 20 km/h.

For the second week in a row Newcastle halfback Adam Clune ran for more metres than any other player in the Telstra Premiership, travelling 9,989 metres in his side's loss to the Titans on Sunday. The next closest to him in that category was his opposite number on the day, Tanah Boyd, who finished with 9,685 metres.

In round 2 of the NRLW it was Brisbane back Jaime Chapman who registered the highest speed of the weekend at 30.9 km/h, as she put in an impressive performance in her side's loss to the Roosters.

It was enough to see her to top spot ahead of Dragons wing Teagan Berry, who maxed out at 30.2 km/h, having led the maximum velocity category a week earlier.

After being a late inclusion to the side at fullback, Chapman's Broncos teammate Hayley Maddick's work ethic stood out, with the 30-year-old finishing the round having covered the most distance (7,904 metres) and most distance at speeds above 20 km/h (675 metres).

Maddick also finished second for relative distance (metres per minute) and ranked fifth for distance covered at speeds above 25 km/h (216 metres), with a number of her Brisbane teammates joining her in recording impressive numbers across the categories measured by the Tracker.
