The Roosters showed their class with another resounding victory in the NRLW while Newcastle booked their first finals appearance with a gutsy win over the Eels.

Several household names stood out from the rest to earn Team of the Week honours for Round Three while a couple of young guns put their hands up to prove they have what it takes to be the next superstar.

Here is the NRLW Team of the week for Round 3.

1. Sam Bremner (Roosters)

Another gun performance from the Roosters fullback who continues to make her mark after two years out of the game. Bremner ran a game-high 203 metres which included finishing off a try where she ran around opposite No.1 Emma Tonegato to the line.

2. Jaime Chapman (Broncos)

Has switched around positions in the backline since arriving at the Broncos and it continued on Sunday with Chapman scoring three tries, the first hat-trick of her career, after starting the game in the centres before switching to the wing following Shakiah Tungai's head knock. Finished the game with 158 running metres and 12 tackle busts in a dominant performance from the new recruit.

3. Jess Sergis (Roosters)

Got through all the hard stuff early with some tough carries before coming out on top to set up Jocelyn Kelleher for her second try of the evening. Finished the match with 109 metres, six tackle busts and three offloads, looking threatening with every touch.

4. Rikeya Horne (Eels)

One of the Eels' best in a beaten side with two tries, including one where she side-stepped Kirra Dibb and Tamika Upton to the line with some fancy footwork to open the scoring. Finished off a Knights mistake in the air to put the Eels in front while accumulating 94 running metres and four tackle busts.

5. Leianne Tufuga (Roosters)

Safe as houses at the back and finished off a wonderful try in the corner by out leaping Teagan Berry from a Raecene McGregor kick. Highly underrated with her carries out of yardage and linking well with centre partner Jess Sergis on the right edge.

6. Zahara Temara (Roosters)

Relishing the opportunity to play alongside a dominant halfback, allowing her to ease into every game and take her chances when they come. Scored a nice try off the back of a kick from Raecene McGregor while slotting five conversions.

7. Raecene McGregor (Roosters)

The Kiwi Ferns halfback is the form player in the game at the moment and a genuine contender for the Dally M medal with her performance reaching new heights on Friday night. Punished her former club with four try assists while coming up with 238 kick metres for the match.

8. Chelsea Lenarduzzi (Broncos)

Produced an influential performance in the middle for her side with 164 metres, five tackle busts and four offloads. Her try in the 15th minute was all determination as the foundation player looks to lead from the front this season.

9. Olivia Higgins (Knights)

Came up with the match winner with a darting effort close to the line but it was her work before that to help the Knights to victory. Moved to lock when Emma Manzelmann got onto the field

10. Caitlan Johnston (Knights)

Set the tone in the middle with a 27-minute stint early before coming back on in the second half for another similiar effort. It was her second stint that got the side on the front foot as the Knights crawled back momentum late. Finished the game with 146 metres, two tackle breaks and an offload.

11. Vanessa Foliaki (Eels)

Close to player of the match for the Eels with the back-rower leading the way on the right edge with 156 running metres, a line break and 32 tackles before coming off late due to severe leg cramping.

12. Amber Hall (Broncos)

A performance we're used to seeing from the Broncos enforcer, who tormented the Titans on the edge with two line break assists and a try assist, five tackle busts and two offloads.

13. Keilee Joseph (Roosters)

Another barnstorming effort from the Roosters lock, who continues to not only rack up the numbers but produce quality while doing so. Joseph's game has gone to another level since earning a starting role with her 189 running metres, three tackle busts and 20 tackles among the best of the round.

14. Tayla Preston (Eels)

Did everything she could to get the Eels over the line in her second NRLW game with a superb kicking game in trying conditions, which included a whopping 353 kick metres, and three try assists.

15. Jocelyn Kelleher (Roosters)

Turning into an absolute super sub off the bench with every match she plays. Kelleher's utility is proving damaging for the opposition with the playmaker coming onto the field and adding spark around the ruck. Scored two tries, one of which an individual effort to give the Roosters the lead, the other on the end of a slick backline movement.

16. Monalisa Soliola (Dragons)

Made history by scoring the first-ever try at the refurbished Allianz Stadium with a charging carry on the edge. Came up with a one-on-one strip that swung momentum in the first half in a strong showing despite her side suffering defeat. Finished with 93 metres, four tackle busts and 20 tackles.

17. Tamika Upton (Knights)

Just pipped by Sam Bremner for the fullback spot but too hard to ignore with 229 running metres, nine tackle busts and a solo try - her second in Knights colours - showing her importance to her new side.
