Eels skipper Clinton Gutherson’s tireless work from the back of the field was on a show again in Finals Week 2 as he helped his side to their first Preliminary Final in 13 years, clocking up 8,999 metres in total distance travelled on the Telstra Tracker.

The effort saw him top that category, 198 metres clear Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey in second place, with Gutherson also finishing the round with the third-highest haul of high speed distance (above 20 kilometres per hour) with 654 metres, and sitting in the top 10 for sprint distance (above 25 km/h) with 175 metres.

All up the Parra No.1 featured in the top 10 of all five categories measured by the Tracker, registering the sixth-best relative distance (metres per minute) reading with 93.3 metres and hitting the eighth best top speed for the weekend at 32.5 km/h.

The top maximum velocity in Finals Week 2 was achieved by Raiders fullback Xavier Savage, who was pinged at 35.6 km/h, putting him ahead of his teammate Sebastian Kris (34.8 km/h).

Kris led the round in sprint distance, with 294 metres of running at above 25 km/h, and finished second for high speed distance running behind Canberra centre Matthew Timoko, who led all players with 746 metres of running above 20 km/h.

Savage has that X-Factor

In the final round of the NRLW regular season, Jessica Sergis hit a top speed of 31.2 km/h in an impressive outing which included her blitzing the Titans defence for a try directly off a scrum.

Her Roosters teammate Shannon Rose made an impact in her NRLW debut, hitting the second-highest top speed of 29.8 km/h and topping the round in sprint distance with 235 metres of running above 21 km/h.

Hard-working Parramatta winger Zali Fay's effort in her side's upset victory over the Broncos was reflected in the Tracker data, with the 21-year-old leading the way in total distance travelled with 7,098 of running, and finishing top in high speed running (above 17.5 km/h) with 572 metres.

Fay also finished second in sprint distance (209 metres) and had the third-highest speed of the round at 28.2 km/h.

Newcastle's Bobbi Law was another standout in Round 5, with her 462 metres of high distance running putting her second for the week and her total distance of 6984 good enough for third overall in that category.
