Sydney Roosters centre Isabelle Kelly has been named the 2022 NRLW Dally M Captain of the Year in her first season of leading the club.

Having taken over the captaincy duties from Corban Baxter ahead of the 2022 season, Kelly led her side through a dominant regular season which saw the Tricolours clinch the minor premiership after going through the year undefeated.

In her six games this year, Kelly has been directly involved in seven tries (three tries and four try assists) with an average of 175 metres and over five tackle breaks per game.

Kelly proud of Roosters' season despite finals loss

Despite bowing out in last week’s Semi Final against the Eels, Kelly finished the year ranked in the top five players for linebreaks, post-contact metres, tackle breaks, try assists and run metres with tonight’s award capping off a strong season for the Australian international.

Kelly took out the award ahead of finalists Kezie Apps, Simaima Taufa and Millie Boyle.
