Sydney Roosters coach John Strange has taken out the 2022 NRLW Dally M Coach of the Year following his side’s undefeated regular season and Semi Final finish.

After leading the Roosters to the 2021 NRLW Premiership earlier this year, Strange continued his success with the Tricolours in the second campaign of 2022 — winning all of their regular season matches before bowing out against the Eels last weekend.

Sunday’s loss was just the second in Strange’s career at the Roosters after he took over the job as head coach from Jamie Feeney ahead of the 2021 season.

Prior to Strange’s arrival, the Roosters had seen three head coaches in as many seasons with the NRLW side.

Strange took out the award ahead of finalists Jamie Soward, Ronald Griffiths and Dean Widders.
