Nicho Hynes has claimed the 2023 Preston Campbell medal after leading his side to a 28-24 win over the Māori All Stars

The 2022 Dally M Player of the Year added to his list of career highlights after a great performance for the Indigenous All Stars at Rotorua International Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In just his second All Stars appearance, the Cronulla halfback was immense for Ronald Griffiths' side, scoring a try, having his hand in another and running 207 metres with the ball.

Hynes goes over untouched

"To our boys, it's been the best week ever, it's about time we took one home and I can't thank you guys enough," Hynes said on stage.

"Thanks to the Māori boys, your culture is absolutely outstanding. You showed us how it is and we're going to go back to Australia and follow your lead, you've been unreal this week."
