Roosters skipper James Tedesco says there's been no discussions around his long-term playing future at the club but he has a desire to finish his career in Bondi.

The 30-year-old laughed at suggestions there could be some tough conversations to be had in the near future with Joseph Suaalii earmarked as Tedesco's replacement at fullback when he does finish up at the Roosters.

However, with two years still to run on his current contract and Suaalii in the infant stages of his career, Tedesco said he wasn't fazed by the external comments being made around his next move.

"I am happy with where I am at, at the moment. I'm enjoying my career here so far at the Roosters," Tedesco said on Monday morning.

"Of course I want to finish my career here but there is no rush. I don't think anyone wants to leave the club. Especially myself, I want to stay for as long as I can. See what happens.

"Having guys like Sua'ali'i and Joey Manu outside me, our spine is pretty dangerous for our team and if we can get us all together playing for many years to come, I think it is really beneficial for the club."

Match Highlights: Roosters v Warriors

Tedesco added he was eager to reunite with former teammate Nathan Brown again after it was reported the Eels forward was close to finalising a deal with the Roosters effective immediately.

The Roosters have a bye in Round 4 before meeting the Eels, with Brown more likely to be available after that match as he continues to make a return from a hamstring injury.

"He's been messaging me non-stop. I think he is pretty excited to get here," Tedesco said.

"He adds a lot of experience. He thickens up our middles. He's had a hard time the last couple of years. To have him at the club will be a big benefit for us."

The Roosters clash with arch-rivals South Sydney on Friday night with Tedesco wanting his side to take the emotion out of the match after being caught up in it during their finals exit last season.

"We've got to adapt when things aren't going our way," Tedesco said.

"We got caught up in the emotion and tried to go a bit individual whereas we need to adapt as a team and go after it together.

"We lost our heads a bit. We needed our leaders and experienced guys to step in and get us all connected and back on the right path."

Roosters enforcers Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (back) and Victor Radley (head knock) are expected to be named for the Rabbitohs encounter in a boost for the home side.

"Jared and Victor play on that fine line every week," Tedesco said.

"Their aggression and ruthless mentality makes them such great players. Those guys are leaders of our forward pack but we need them to keep their emotions in control."
