Opening month

Defending premiers Newcastle will open their title defence against the Dragons in Round 1 at McDonald Jones Stadium as part of a double header with the men's side on July 22. They'll then hit the road for the next fortnight with clashes against the Cowboys (Belmore Sports Ground) and Eels (CommBank Stadium) before returning home to the Hunter to take on the Titans in Round 4.

The run home

The Knights play the Raiders in the nation's capital in Round 7 before a mouthwatering clash against the Roosters at home in Round 8. Newcastle then face a tricky trip to Sydney to face the Wests Tigers on a five-day turnaround at Campbelltown Sports Stadium to end the regular season, with the upside being a longer turnaround for a potential finals game the following week.

And another thing...

The Knights are one of three teams - along with the Titans and Raiders - who have five home games in 2023, the most in the league. They'll travel to Sydney three times and Canberra once. Despite there being three Queensland teams in the competition in 2023, Newcastle will not travel north of the border once all year.
