Queensland Under 19 women’s squad named

Emerging talent from Queensland’s pathway programs and competitions will come together this weekend to continue preparations for next month’s Under 19 women’s match against New South Wales.  

Following the Women’s National Championships on the Gold Coast, Queensland selectors have named a squad of 24 players who will take part in the camp at Redcliffe.

The squad includes numerous players who not only excelled at the championships, but also put their best foot forward in the BMD Premiership and Harvey Norman Under 19s competitions.

Queensland Under 19 head coach Deanna Turner and her assistants Maia Tua-Davidson and Meg Ward squad would put the squad members through their work during the camp.

Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons head coach Tahnee Norris will also provide support as part of her female pathways role with the QRL.

Following the camp, selectors will meet to finalise the team to take on NSW on July 13.
