The National Rugby League has confirmed that Ashley Klein will referee Ampol State of Origin II, at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday, June 21.

Touch judges Drew Oultram and David Munro, as well as Bunker Official Grant Atkins, will also officiate in the second match of the series.

“Ashley officiated well in the opening match of the series and deserves to take charge of the second game,” NRL General Manager – Elite Officiating Jared Maxwell said.

“Ashley has experience in big matches which is extremely beneficial for these games.”

The NRL has also confirmed that Belinda Sharpe will referee Ampol Women’s State of Origin II, at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville, on Thursday, June 22.

Alongside the appointment of Sharpe, Darian Furner and Wyatt Raymond will be touch judges for the match, while Kasey Badger has been nominated as Bunker Review Official.

“Belinda has been consistent and committed this season and will contribute well to this environment,” Maxwell said.

“I congratulate all officials on their appointments.”
