The Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) has confirmed the 2023 Under-19s male and female State of Origin matches will be played on Thursday, July 13 at Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe.
The game’s best up-and-coming players will face off in the clash in Queensland for the first time following the success of the inaugural match at Leichhardt Oval in 2022.
Australian Rugby League Commission Chairman Peter V’landys AM said the Commission was once again pleased to promote emerging talent through the new under-19s matches.
“The Commission is focussed on development of male and female players and strong pathways. The under-19s concept was extremely successful last year and once again we will showcase the best interstate players and our pathways,” Mr V’landys said.
“Not only will the under-19s State of Origin solidify our pathways but it will provide more opportunities for players and fans.”

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo added: “Last year’s matches gave opportunities to players like Paul Alamoti and Jojo Fifita, as well as Jada Taylor. Since then they have progressed to become established first graders.”
“In 2023, we will have the most extensive series of interstate Origin matches in the game’s history – three men’s Origins, two women’s Origins and two under-19s Origins – all broadcast on free-to-air television.”
Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the region was thrilled to be hosting the Under 19s State of Origin men’s and women's competition.
"Moreton Bay has a proud history of supporting the growth of Rugby League. We are home to the newest club in the league, the mighty Dolphins, and now we're getting more points on the board by hosting the 2023 U19s State of Origin,” Mayor Flannery said.
"We’re excited to welcome the action on the field, and excited to welcome the players’ family, friends, staff and supporters to our beautiful part of the world.
"We estimate the under-19s State of Origin event will inject close over $580,000 into our local economy for shops, cafes, accommodation providers, suppliers and many more, which is a great boost for local businesses.”
Both under-19s matches will be broadcast on the Nine Network and Fox Sports.
Tickets are now on sale from $10 for adults, while juniors (under-15s) can attend for free with a paying adult in General Admission.
Tickets are now on sale via nrl.com/tickets for Club Members, while General Public tickets will be on sale at 4pm today (Wednesday, June 14).
