The Broncos have taken a dramatic fall in this week's NRL Power Rankings, making way for the Storm to secure top spot for the first time since Round 6 after a dominant victory over the Sea Eagles.

Falling to the Titans at home in arguably the upset of the round has left the Broncos languishing in 5th spot after Round 17, despite still holding onto second place in the Telstra Premiership ladder.

But the Broncs fall has made way for a new-look top-three in the rankings with Melbourne, Parramatta and the Warriors all sitting comfortably above Penrith and Brisbane.

The Storm staked their claim as premiership contenders in 2023 with a dominant 24-6 victory over Manly last Saturday, while back-to-back wins has seen the Eels (2nd) and Warriors (3rd) also make strides ahead of Round 18.

Running in seventh spot on the Telstra Premiership ladder but second in the NRL Power Rankings, the Eels have the biggest variance (+5) of any team this week.

Meanwhile, a 25-point win over the Rabbitohs saw the Cowboys jump two places into 8th, two spots higher than their ladder position of 10th, while the Rabbitohs were left languishing in 11th rank after their Round 17 defeat.

Trent Robinsons' Roosters rose one spot, despite falling to the Raiders in a thrilling 20-18 Sunday night, sitting 10th in the NRL Power Rankings.

A bye has the Bulldogs and Sharks up one place heading into Round 18, while the Wests Tigers remain unchanged at 17th, despite taking away two-points with their week off.
