Titans rewarded in Team of the Week despite golden point defeat

The VB Hard Earned Index Team of the Week recognised the individual performances in a number of hard-fought battles in Round 19, with 11 of the 17 top ranked players coming from losing sides.

An exhaustive effort from the Titans in Sunday night's golden point loss to the Dolphins saw an incredible six players in the VB Team of the Week, headlined by props Jaimin Jolliffe (87 points) and Chris Randall (88 points). 

Meanwhile, called up to replace AJ Brimson at fullback, Titans teammate Jayden Campbell (82 points) made the most of every minute in the No. 1 jersey, putting his hand up for 23 carries - 15 of which were eight plus metres - 10 tackle busts and three scoots from dummy-half.

Centre Brian Kelly (74), halfback Toby Sexton (59) and winger Phillip Sami (71) also joined the big representation of Titans in the team, with Kelly and Sami combining for an incredible 44 carries and Sexton engaging the line on 14 occasions. 

After running in three tries in seven minutes and coming within four points of the Raiders, the Dragons saw four of their side featured in the Team of the Week, headlined by centre Zac Lomax's 83-point performance. 

Lomax featured prominently in a number of key statistics throughout the round, with 23 carries - 16 of which were eight plus metres - seven tackle busts and four line engagements. 

The 24-year-old was joined by five-eighth Talatau Amone (54 points) and forwards Billy Burns (81 points) and Jack de Belin (83 points). 

Meanwhile, the Warriors dominant 46-10 victory over the Eels saw three of their men feature in Round 19's Team of the Week, including the highest-scorer of the round in Tohu Harris (90 points).

Harris and fellow forward Mitch Barnett (83 points) got through a mountain of work in defence with 53 tackles between them.
