A road victory over the Dolphins minus all of their Origin stars has ensured the Panthers remain at the top of the NRL Power Rankings heading into Round 21.

As they extended their unbeaten run to three games, with a bye in between, Penrith maintained their standing as top dogs on both the Telstra Premiership ladder and Power Rankings, despite their nearest rivals Brisbane hammering the Bulldogs 44-24 last week.

That win sees the Broncos move up two spots to second in the Power Rankings, while they also maintain second place on the ladder, equal on points with the Panthers and trailing only on differential.

While the Raiders remain solid in third place in the rankings after last week's bye, the Warriors, Storm and Cowboys are on the rise just behind them and have all moved up one spot thanks to Round 20 victories.

The Warriors face the Raiders, who they sit directly behind in the rankings and on the ladder, in what shapes as one of the games of the round in Auckland on Friday night.

The Knights are the week's biggest movers, with their 34-18 win over the Wests Tigers propelling them up three places to eighth in the rankings, two spots above their standing on the actual ladder.

The Rabbitohs (-1 spot) and Eels (unchanged) are the two top eight sides who sit outside the eight in the rankings, with Parramatta's ladder position of seventh being three spots higher than their Power Ranking.

The Wests Tigers will have the chance to make moves in both the rankings and on the ladder on Thursday night when they face the Dragons, who are directly above them on both, at WIN Stadium.
