Talent from the Telstra Premiership's two form teams occupy eight of the 17 spots in the Round 26 VB Hard Earned Index Team of the Week.

The Knights and Warriors, who picked up their eighth and seventh consecutive wins respectively last week, each have four players in the team.

Newcastle lock Adam Elliott topped the round with an Index rating of 102 after getting through 42 tackles and registering 10 line engagements, while teammate Dane Gagai's 99 was the best score for any back.

Winger Dominic Young and rookie back-rower Dylan Lucas were the other Newcastle players who made the cut, while for the Warriors another star showing from prop Addin Fonua-Blake in the middle of the park headed up their representation.

'AFB' had 22 runs and 21 tackles to go with scoring his eighth try of the year, while fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad put his hand up for 22 carries, with 12 of them resulting in gains of eight metres or more from fullback.

Hooker Wayde Egan, who had nine dummy-half runs, and second-rower Josh Curran were also included.

For both Fonua-Blake and Gagai, it was the third week in a row they have earned selection in the Team of the Week.

Dragons prop Blake Lawrie and Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui were the only players to make it from losing sides, with Lawrie's Index rating of 94 being the third highest achieved in Round 26 and Fa'asuamaleaui coming up with 16 runs that resulted in gains of eight or more metres.

Daly Cherry-Evans was arguably the best on ground as the Sea Eagles beat the Bulldogs on Sunday and claimed the halfback spot on the back of breaking 11 tackles and coming up with 10 line engagements.

Daly Cherry-Evans does it all himself

J'maine Hopgood starred for the Eels in their upset win over the Panthers, after being dropped back to the bench prior to kick-off, coming on to play 63 minutes and make 33 tackles to go with 14 runs and three offloads.
