Raiders centre Jack Wighton has been referred to the NRL judiciary after allegedly biting Tyson Gamble in Sunday's elimination final in Newcastle.
Gamble complained to referee Ashley Klein in the 48th minute after he wrapped his arm around Wighton's face in a tackle attempt before pulling his arm away and alerting the match officials to the incident.
After being placed on report before play continued on Sunday, the departing Raider was charged with Dangerous Contact by the Match Review Committee and will now face the judiciary on Tuesday to determine the grade of the incident.
Gamble's arm appeared to show bite marks from the incident but post-match was reluctant to discuss the matter.
"I've just got to leave that on the field. That's footy and I don't want to comment on it. It's done and dusted," Gamble said.
"We shook hands and he sort of said all the best for the finals series. It is what it is. It's part of footy and happens so I'll put it to the side and move on."

The Raiders were leading 16-6 when Wighton was cited before the Knights ran in four tries in a 15-minute period to snatch a 12-point lead - only to almost regain the lead again in extra-time.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart hoped the allegations wouldn't mar Wighton's final game for the Green Machine before an expected move to South Sydney in 2024.
"They're allegations... I just hope that great game of football was not overshadowed by that," Stuart said.
"It was a quality game of football that only us in our camp knew we were going to deliver."
