Reliable Fantasy backline talent can be hard to find, but the Rabbitohs present us with a heap of options for season 2024.

The arrival of Jack Wighton, who is listed as a HLF right now but will likely to get dual position status as a CTR at some stage, adds to a strong group that includes WFB Latrell Mitchell and CTR Campbell Graham.

Second-year WFB Tyrone Munro is a real prospect too, while South Sydney also possess two players who are elite in their position in HOK Damien Cook and MID Cam Murray.

There could be some value in a couple of Rabbitohs forwards too, with Tevita Tatola (MID, $485k) having dropped in price due to an injury-impacted 2023 and Davvy Moale (MID, $290k) likely to have a bigger role this year.

Rabbitohs 2024 NRL Fantasy guide

The big gun

He ended up trailing Cam Murray and Damien Cook as South Sydney's best Fantasy player last year, but if there's must-have Rabbitoh for 2024 it's Latrell Mitchell. He's not going to be the most consistent WFB, but he's probably got the highest ceiling of anyone in his position given his ability to break tackles and impact attack. When he goes off in games this season, and he will, you're going to want him in your team.

Terrific Trell always a threat

The bargain

When you have a left winger who scores as many tries as Alex Johnston does it's tempting to avoid players from the opposite edge. But there's a good chance the Rabbitohs will be more balanced this year, with a desire to get plenty of ball to both Campbell Graham and Jack Wighton, which is one of several reasons why right wing candidate Tyrone Munro is interesting from a Fantasy perspective. A scorer of three tries in as many games in his rookie campaign last year, Munro has some great athletic traits and averaged 33.3 in 2023. He shapes as a possible cash cow who could even become a serviceable depth WFB in your squad.

A dream debut for Munro

Bye round outlook

Round 7, 13 and 17. The Rabbitohs sit out just one of the major bye rounds (Round 13) which is good news for those playing for overall points. Their final bye being in Round 17 means South Sydney players look like being good bets for the final third of the season too.
