Kayo Stadium came alive on Wednesday as the grand finalists for the Hostplus Cup and BMD Premiership gathered ahead of tomorrow’s season deciders.
In the men’s competition, the Burleigh Bears will meet the Norths Devils at 4:05pm, while the women’s Bears will face the undefeated Brisbane Tigers at 2:05pm.
The action will begin earlier in the day with the City v Country clashes, setting the stage for a full day of rugby league.
Captains and coaches from all teams fronted the media on Wednesday, sharing their final thoughts before the season’s ultimate test.
The Norths Devils are chasing history, aiming for a fourth premiership in five years, while the Burleigh Bears are determined to halt their charge.
The Bears and Devils booked their place in the final with hard-fought 18–16 victories over the Redcliffe Dolphins and Wynnum Manly Seagulls respectively.
In the BMD Premiership, the Brisbane Tigers dominated the regular season with 11 straight wins.
One of their toughest challenges came in Round 6, when they edged out Burleigh 18–12 through three successful conversions.
The Bears, however, have proven their finals resilience, eliminating Norths in week one before toppling the second-placed Souths Logan Magpies to secure their place.
Fans have long anticipated this showdown, and tomorrow’s decider promises to deliver.
