Five must-see double-headers in 2026
Round 1 – Broncos v Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, July 4 at 5.15pm
Broncos v Cowboys: Round 11
It doesn't get much better than a Queensland derby clash on a Saturday afternoon at Suncorp Stadium. The Broncos and Cowboys will get their season started with a bang at the iconic Queensland venue, with the North Queensland side out to make amends after suffering their biggest defeat at the hands of the 'local' rivals in their last encounter in Round 11 of the 2025 season.
The NRLW game will be followed by the NRL Round 18 Broncos v Sharks game at 7.30pm.

Round 4 – Bulldogs v Dragons at Accor Stadium, Saturday, July 25 – 3.15pm
The last time these two sides met in Round 3 of the 2025 season, it took a Kasey Reh try in the final minute of the match for the Dragons to steal the win over newcomers the Bulldogs, with the two sides neck-and-neck all game. Locked 10-10 at halftime, the two side's battled it out on the field in an even contest before the late match-winner.

Roosters v Broncos - Grand Final, 2025
The grand final rematch between the Broncos and Roosters is set to be a massive encounter between two powerful clubs. The two teams showed they were a cut above the chasing pack during the 2025 season, with the Roosters undefeated in the regular season and the Broncos only losing the one match. Premiers the Broncos may have lost some firepower over the off-season, but have gained talented half Jesse Southwell, who will need to display her guile if her side is to outmaneuver the skillful Roosters pack.

Round 10 – Dragons v Broncos at WIN Stadium on Sunday, September 6 – 11.50am
Dragons coach Nathan Cross is set to face off against a number of his former charges when St George Illawarra host Brisbane at Wollongong, with the mentor taking over the reins of the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons side this year. When the two teams met in the 2025 season, the Dragons were able to hold the premiers to a 6-6 scoreline at half-time, but the youthful side fell away in the second. With a number of experienced heads including Pacific Championships representatives Brooke Anderson (Kiwi Ferns) and Taliah Fuimaono (Fetu Samoa) joining the ranks, the side will be hoping to push their opposition all the way.
