Warriors: Maori All Stars Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Jacob Laban will back up following last week’s All Stars match, however James Fisher-Harris (rested) and Te Maire Martin (ankle) will sit out Friday’s pre-season game. Martin is sidelined for 12 weeks after breaking his right fibula while Indigenous All Stars winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira is unavailable as he follows concussion protocols after a head knock in Sunday’s game. Tanah Boyd and Luke Hanson will link up in the halves for the second-straight week, while Demitric Vaimauga will miss the match after starting at prop in last Saturday’s loss to Manly. Tanner Stowers-Smith will start in his place, with Laban’s inclusion in the back row the only other change to the starting pack.

Dolphins: Selwyn Cobbo has shifted to the wing as Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf provides an early look at what his Round 1 backline could look like. Trai Fuller will start at fullback, with Jake Averillo and Herbie Farnworth in the centres. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow’s position is the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle, but he will miss Friday’s trial. Kodi Nikorima is back at five-eighth, with Brad Schneider shifting to hooker after wearing the No.6 jumper last week. Tom Flegler will come off the bench after making a successful return to the field against the Titans, with Schneider’s move to dummy half the only change to the starting forward pack.

Roosters: After a year's worth of hype and expectation Roosters fans get their first look at Daly Cherry-Evans in the red, white and blue as he teams up with Sam Walker at the scrumbase. DCE has been named in 6 and Walker in 7 and there will be plenty of interest in how they line up and what roles they play. Skipper James Tedesco, winger Mark Nawaqanitawase, props Naufahu Whyte, Lindsay Collins and Spencer Leniu, back-rower Angus Crichton, and hooker Reece Robson all step out for the first time in 2026. All Stars reps Connor Watson and Blake Steep are back on deck while former Dragon Cody Ramsey looks to resurrect his NRL career after a battle with ulcerative colitis that sidelined him for 896 days before he made a remarkable return to the field in 2025 to captain the Dragons’ NSW Cup side to a grand final appearance.

Eels: The Mitch Moses-Jonah Pezet show rolls into Gosford on Saturday night as Parra fans dare to dream big in 2026. Josh Add-Carr comes in on the wing after representing the Indigenous All Stars last weekend while J'maine Hopgood, Junior Paulo, Jack de Belin, Jack Williams and Dylan Walker step out for the first time this season. Former Titan Brian Kelly has been named on the extended bench along with Joash Papalii, who played five-eighth last week, while the likes of Jordan Samrani, Teancum Brown and Lorenzo Talataina get another chance to impress after strong showings against the Sharks.

Rabbitohs: Time for Wayne Bennett to roll out the big guns with a full-strength 17 named for the trip to Mudgee. Superstars Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, Alex Johnston, Keaon Koloamatangi and Cameron Murray have all been named while centre Campbell Graham returns from back surgery. David Fifita starts in the back row in his first game for the club while former Storm man Bronson Garlick comes from the bench. Jack Wighton and Tallis Duncan return from Indigenous All Stars duty. After playing a starring role at fullback last week Matt Dufty is part of the extended squad and will get another chance to impress.

Sea Eagles: Jamal Fogarty takes charge for the first time in Manly colours and will partner Luke Brooks in the halves with young gun Joey Walsh coming from the bench. Prop Taniela Paseka will play his first game rupturing his Achilles in Round 3 last year and is joined in the engine room by Siosiua Taukeiaho who will captain the side. Nathan Brown is back from a ruptured biceps and lines up at lock while Corey Waddell and Hugo Hart are the second-rowers after both played strongly against the Warriors. Tom and Jake Trbojevic will be kept in cotton wool for the Round 1 clash against the Raiders on March 7.
