Official team lists, updates and injury news for Round 2 of the 2026 NRL Telstra Premiership.

The new rules allow teams to carry six men on the interchange bench but only four are permitted to enter the action on game day.

Two players will be omitted from the squads 24 hours out from the match, with the final 19 to be confirmed 90 minutes before kick-off.

NRL Team Lists: Round 2

Broncos v Eels, Thursday 8.00pm (AEDT) at Suncorp Stadium

Broncos: Coach Michael Maguire has again named Ezra Mam to start at five-eighth with Ben Hunt in the No.14 but they may swap before kick-off as they did in Round 1. With back-rower Brendan Piakura still sidelined by a knee injury there are no changes for the premiers despite the demoralising defeat to the Panthers. Delouise Hoeter and Thomas Duffy dropped out of the squad when it was trimmed on Wednesday.

Eels: Centre Will Penisini has dropped out of the squad on Wednesday and been replaced by Jordan Samrani. A boost for the Eels with star winger Josh Addo-Carr (thumb) back on deck so Sean Russell moves to centre and Brian Kelly drops to the extended bench. Jack Williams slides to prop in place of the suspended J'maine Hopgood with Kelma Tuilagi joining the starting side. Sam Tuivaiti has again been named in No.15 and will be hoping for game time after a reshuffle last week saw Joash Papalii sent into the game when Isaiah Iongi went off for a HIA.

Warriors v Raiders, Friday 6.00pm (AEDT) at Go Media Stadium

Warriors: Winning form is good form so coach Andrew Webster sticks with the same 19-man squad that got the season off to a flyer against the Roosters. Marata Niukore has been named in No.22 as he looks to return from a calf injury while Alofiana Khan-Pereira is also part of the six-man bench after returning from concussion through NSW Cup last week. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck becomes the player to join the Warriors’ 150-game club.

Raiders: Englishman Morgan Smithies starts at prop in place of Josh Papalii (concussion). Kiwi centre Matt Timoko joins the bench in No.17 after returning from a foot injury via NSW Cup last week. Daine Laurie and Joe Roddy round out the six-man bench.

Roosters v Rabbitohs, Friday 8.00pm (AEDT) at Allianz Stadium

Roosters: Rob Toia has overcome a foot injury and comes in at centre while Siua Wong has been named to start in the back row in place of Nat Butcher, who goes to the bench. Egan Butcher is also named to start at lock and Blake Steep moves to the bench. Cody Ramsey and Junior Pauga are the No.18 and 19.

Rabbitohs: The loss of Ashton Ward to an ankle injury brings Jayden Sullivan in at halfback with Sean Keppie the new man on the bench. Latrell Siegwalt is the No.18 with Moala Graham-Taufa again in No.19.

Wests Tigers v Cowboys, Saturday 3.00pm (AEDT) at Leichhardt Oval

Wests Tigers: Young gun Heamasi Makasini has been named at centre for his second NRL appearance following his outstanding Pre-Season Challenge form. Fellow teenager Luke Laulilii gets his shot on the wing in career game No.10. Englishman Kai Pearce-Paul has overcome a calf injury and will make his Tigers debut in the back row alongside Samuela Fainu. The six-man bench includes former Bronco Jock Madden, prop Royce Hunt and bullocking winger Jeral Skelton.

Cowboys: Winger Braidon Burns was successful in his bid to earn a downgrade at the judiciary on Tuesday night on a high tackle charge and will take his place. The loss of Tom Mikaele to a knee injury sees Soni Luke promoted to the bench while Liam Sutton and Ethan King are the No.18 and 19. Star fullback Scott Drinkwater was nursing rib cartilage damage in Vegas but is expected to be good to go.

Dragons v Storm, Saturday 5.30pm (AEDT) at WIN Stadium

Dragons: On the back of a narrow loss in Vegas, coach Shane Flanagan has kept the faith with the squad that pushed the Bulldogs to the limit. Prop Blake Lawrie has been named in the No.16 and will be chasing his first minutes of the season after missing out in Round 1 when Mat Feagai was activated to cover for Moses Suli (HIA). Hooker Jacob Liddle remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Storm: Veteran Tui Kamikamica comes in at lock for Alec MacDonald (concussion) in the only change to the starting side that dismantled the Eels. Jack Hetherington returns from suspension and has been added to the bench while Shawn Blore is listed on the extended bench as he looks to return from an ankle injury.

Panthers v Sharks, Saturday 7.35pm (AEDT) at Carrington Park, Bathurst

Panthers: Star back-rower Liam Martin remains sidelined with a calf injury so Ivan Cleary goes with the same 19-man squad that ambushed the Broncos in Round 1. After being named in No.18 last week and getting a late call-up to the starting side, Thomas Jenkins retains his place and has been named on the wing. Paul Alamoti moves into the centres.

Sharks: Craig Fitzgibbon sticks with the proven formula from last week and goes with the same 19-man squad for the trip to Bathurst. With Teig Wilton (shoulder) still sidelined the back row again features Billy Burns, Briton Nikora and Jesse Colquhoun.

Sea Eagles v Knights, Sunday 4.05pm (AEDT) at 4 Pines Park

Last updated:

Sea Eagles: Broncos premiership winner Kobe Hetherington will start at prop with Siosiua Taukeiaho nursing a calf injury. After playing one NRL game at Newcastle last year, prop Paul Bryan is set for his club debut off the bench. Young gun Joey Walsh has again been named in the No.14 as he chases a second NRL appearance. Simione Laiafi has been named in the extended squad after sitting out last week under the concussion protocols.

Knights: Sandon Smith takes over in the No.6 jersey with Fletcher Sharpe facing another week on the sidelines with a knee injury. Back-rower Francis Manuleleua has been added to the bench and is line for his NRL debut. Tyson Frizell is named to start at lock but may swap with Mat Croker on game day as he did in Las Vegas.

Dolphins v Titans, Sunday 6.15pm (AEDT) at Suncorp Stadium

Dolphins: A couple of big ins for the Phins with Max Plath and Ray Stone named on the interchange bench. Plath returned in Queensland Cup last weekend after recovering from the ACL injury he suffered in Round 14 last season while Stone is ready to go after off-season shoulder surgery. Trai Fuller has dropped to the extended bench and Brent Woolf makes way.

Titans: No panic from Josh Hannay after the big loss to the Sharks with the rookie coach sticking with the same 19 players. Hooker Sam Verrills left the field with a sternum injury at Shark Park but has been named to play. Jett Liu is the only fresh face to join the extended bench after recently being promoted to the Top 30.
