Freddy Lussick is set to start at hooker for the Panthers in their clash with the Storm, while star Broncos prop Payne Haas is pushing to return from a shoulder injury Brisbane's battle with the Titans.

Dolphins: Kurt Donoghoe is pushing for his first match of the season as he completes his recovery from a hamstring injury. The hooker has been named on the six-man bench for Thursday's match. Fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has scored nine tries in five games in Redcliffe.

Sea Eagles: Forward Ethan Bullemor is in the mix to line up on Thursday after he was a late withdrawal last week due to an Achilles injury. Clayton Faulalo is set for his first appearance of the season in place of suspended winger Jason Saab. Emerging playmaker Joey Walsh won't be thrown into the NRL at this stage with interim coach Kieran Foran saying on Wednesday that "we're not travelling good enough to put the responsibility of turning a game around on a 19-year-old's shoulders. That's not doing the right thing by Joey."

Moala Graham-Taufa shifts to the interchange as a result, with Wayne Bennett able to rely on stability ahead of the Rabbitohs' Good Friday blockbuster. Utility Jack Cogger is on track to make his return from a concussion and will come off the bench on Friday night. Panthers winger Brian To’o has scored eight tries in his last eight games against the Storm while Liam Martin will play his 150th NRL match.

Storm: Jack Howarth is pushing to line up on Friday despite suffering a hip injury in last week's loss to North Queensland. Manaia Waitere will likely come into the starting side if Howarth falls short. In positive news, Nick Meaney is back on deck from a back injury and will line up at centre in place of Moses Leo. Lazarus Vaalepu has also returned to the 19 after Tui Kamikamica suffered a medical episode on Monday.

Sharks: Briton Nikora is an outside chance of making an early return from a broken nose and remains in the Sharks' extended squad. Mawene Hiroti is also in the mix to return to the side after making a successful comeback from a knee injury in reserve grade last week. The Sharks are otherwise settled as they look to build on last week's win over Canberra.

Warriors: Englishman Morgan Gannon is also pushing to complete his comeback from a concussion and has been listed in the reserves but the Warriors are a tough squad to break into right now.
