Fresh from signing a one-year extension with the club, Dolphins back Selwyn Cobbo is searching for improvements in his game, starting with this week’s challenge against the Warriors.
The former Broncos has been finding his feet on the peninsular this season, playing on the wing where he has scored two tries.
However, while there has been speculation he may be in the running to return to the Queensland fold with Origin around the corner, Cobbo said he had plenty to work on, but coach Kristian Woolf had been helping him improve.
“I guess you have to wait and see, there's still some stuff I need to work on in my game and need to be on top of if I want to play Origin,” Cobbo said.
“But I have wait and take it game-by-game.

“The game gets faster and better every year, I’ve just got to adapt to it and do extras after trainings and all that stuff ... make sure you're on-point ...
“I haven't been good lately in that area, but I'm working hard towards it.
“I’m trying to back myself and trying to feel comfortable around the field and where I can do my part ...
“Last week was just a start and I'm looking forward for the rest of the year.
“(Woolf has) been helping me off the field, just making sure my head's right, my mind space and everything.
“He tells me to just go out there and play my footy and relax.
“He’s told me to back myself in what I do and he's been helpful around that, and him and the other coaching staff as well, even the other boys, so they've been really helpful to me.”
Woolf said while he thought Cobbo had “been great since he's joined the group”, he saw more improvement from him in their tough 23-22 golden-point loss to the Panthers last round in Darwin.
“He turned up to day one pre-season, good nick, a smile on his face, looking like he really wanted to be around the place, and that hasn't changed,” Woolf said.
“He's fit in really well, I can see he's really comfortable, he looks happy, that's when he's going to play his best footy.
“Our blokes all love him as well, so, I think it's a good fit; for the club, the team and him.
“I think last week he started to back himself a little bit as well and we started to see what he's going to bring to the team.

“I love his tough carries, he really puts his hand up and wants to carry out of the backfield and help our middle forwards and get us on the front foot.
“He just started to show that little bit of X-factor that he's got about him as well, and it's up to us to get him a little bit more footy and give him a little bit more opportunity there.”
This Anzac Round, the Dolphins travel to Wellington to a sold-out Hnry Stadium where an in-form Warriors await.
After playing in the heat of the Top End last week, Cobbo said the team were taking the lessons from the game and were prepared for the physical challenge ahead of them.
“We took a lot out of that game, especially up Darwin, it was pretty hot up there, playing in those conditions,” Cobbo said.
“The first half wasn't the best half for us, but we had to come out second half and we came out and put some points on.
“It was a close game …
“(Against the Warriors we expect) the physicality, there's some big boys in that team, but we’ve got big middles as well.
“They'll do the job.
“It'll be a tough game this week, but I'm looking forward to it.”
