May day: Brothers nominated for RLWC2026 Team of the Week

Samoa's May brothers, Taylan, Terrell and Tyrone, have been nominated for the RLWC2026 Team of the Week, along with a Broncos forward with ambitions to play for England.

Wests Tigers prop Terrell May is an incumbent member of the World Cup Team of the Week, while centre Taylan has received his first nomination after starring in last Thursday night's 33-14 defeat of the Raiders.

Tyrone May, the Hull KR halfback, also received a nomination after steering the world club champions to a 48-12 defeat of Bradford Bulls.

The trio of brothers join unheralded Broncos forward Ben Talty, who helped an undermanned Brisbane side to a 32-12 win against the Bulldogs just days after declaring he wanted to represent his England-born mother.

With newly appointed England coach Brian McDermott last week confirming Talty was in his sights, the premiership winning frontrower starred in last Friday night's 32-12 defeat of the Bulldogs.

Another player eligible for England, Roosters halfback Sam Walker, has also been nominated after becoming the first player to win three Ashton-Collier Medals as player-of-the-match in the annual ANZAC Day clash with the Dragons.
