Dolphins v Storm: Bostock nears return; Peel the real deal

The Dolphins got the better of the Storm last season and they will fancy of their chances of repeating the dose with Melbourne arriving at Suncorp Stadium on the back of six straight losses.

Not only are the Storm in the midst of the equal worst losing streak in their 28-year history but they will be without star playmaker Jahrome Hughes, who has entered the concussion protocols.

The Dolphins have shown enormous resolve over the past fortnight but still came away empty from trips to Darwin and Wellington, losing in golden point to Penrith and by two points to the Warriors.

Back in front of the Phins faithful in Brisbane they should be ready to turn on the afterburners as they unleash Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Herbie Farnworth and Selwyn Cobbo on a Storm defence that has leaked 162 points in the past four matches.

Team News

Dolphins: A couple of big names appear in the extended squad with winger Jack Bostock (ACL) closing in on his first NRL match since Round 16 last year after returning to the field in Queensland Cup on Anzac Day. Kurt Donoghoe has also been named among the reserves as he looks to return from a hamstring injury for just his second game of the season. The loss of Jake Averillo to a hand injury sees Trai Fuller named at centre while Brad Schneider is five-eighth. Morgan Knowles slots in at lock in his return from a calf injury suffered in Round 7. Oryn Keeley has been added to the bench and last week's debutant Lewis Symonds retains his place.

Storm: Tyran Wishart takes over at halfback from Jahrome Hughes (concussion) while 20-year-old Hugo Peel has been named to make his NRL debut on the wing. Back-rowers Joe Chan, Cooper Clarke and Trent Loiero have been relegated to the bench, replaced in the starting side by Shawn Blore, Alec MacDonald and Ativalu Lisati, who returns from a calf injury. Trent Toelau has also been added to the interchange for his Storm debut after 11 NRL games as a Panther.
