The magic that is NRL Magic Round Brisbane Flavoured by Arnott's Shapes is with us again for 2026 with eight Telstra Premiership games set to light up Suncorp Stadium for a festival of football like no other.
The weekend will again see 16 NRL teams descend on Queensland's home of rugby league for a host of mouth-watering Round 11 clashes.
All roads lead to Brisbane on Thursday night for Game 2 of the Ampol Women's State of Origin series before the Sharks and Bulldogs launch NRL Magic Round on Friday night.

Ampol Women's State of Origin & Magic Round Launch
Head to King George Square from 5.30pm on Wednesday May 13 for the official launch of the Ampol Women’s State of Origin and Magic Round weekend.
See Brisbane’s City Hall come to life with a spectacular rugby league-themed light display, fan activations, live music and much more.

Rugby League Takes Over Caxton Street
Caxton Street will transform into a buzzing fan zone for NRL’s Magic Round, offering footy fans and visitors alike a once-a-year street party experience right in the heart of Brisbane.
As thousands of rugby league fans descend on the city, Caxton Street - just steps from Suncorp Stadium - will be closed to traffic and opened up to fans, with live entertainment, food trucks, merch outlets, games, giveaways, mascots, and appearances from NRL legends.
Magic Round has been hosted exclusively in Brisbane since the concept was introduced in 2019 and is one of the must-see events on the Australian sporting calendar, attracting thousands of visitors from across Australia and the Pacific and injecting over $30 million into the Queensland economy annually.
The four-day festival of rugby league is expected to draw a record 200,000 fans to take in all the action.
The Caxton Street Fan Activation Zone
The Caxton Street Fan Activation Zone will be used to provide free entertainment, games, music and activities for attendees of the Women’s Origin and Magic Round fixtures.
The Caxton Street Fan Activation Zone will be open at the following times:
- Thursday 14 May – 4:30pm - 8:00pm
- Friday 15 May – 4:30pm - 7:00pm
- Saturday 16 May – 12:00pm - 7:00pm
- Sunday 17 May – 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Red Bull x KIA DJ
Red Bull will be amplifying Caxton Street with their Red Bull x KIA Event Vehicle and handing out free cans of Red Bull to energise the crowd.
Steeden Magic Guess
Spot the giant ball on Caxton Street and guess how many Steeden balls are inside for your chance to go into the draw to win tickets to the next NRL major event. Plus, keep an eye out for plenty of spot prizes awarded to lucky fans.

Kick For A Cause
The Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC), in partnership with national insurer Youi, is taking up the fight against kids’ cancer through a new fundraising initiative to be launched during NRL Magic Round Brisbane 2026.
The two organisations have teamed up with all 17 NRL cubs and 11 paediatric cancer centres in Australia and New Zealand to launch Kick for a Cause, with the aim of raising $1 million to improve the care, comfort, and outcomes of every child facing cancer across Australia and New Zealand. The centres are located in every community that an NRL Club exists.
Youi has pledged a $1,000 donation for every successfully converted try and penalty goal attempt at the highly anticipated three-day festival of Rugby League to be held in Brisbane from May 15-17. They have also doubled the pledge for every successful field goal across the round.

History of Magic Round
In 2019, the NRL Magic Round weekend was introduced with the support of the Queensland Government, Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane Marketing.
The overall attendance for the 2019 Magic Round was 134,677 across four days and after being cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic the weekend has grown bigger and better over the last four years, with 149,306 fans pouring through the gates in 2025, a new record for Magic Round.
