The 2026 edition of Magic Round delivered on and off the field with the blockbuster clash between the Broncos and Warriors the No.1 most viewed Sunday 4pm regular season fixture of all time.

And Saturday night's Roosters-Cowboys showdown was the No.1 most viewed Saturday 5.30pm regular season fixture of all time.

With total viewership of 6.5 million, Magic Round was up 15% on last year's Magic Round - making it the No.1 most watched Magic Round of all time.

With more than 4.8 million cumulative viewers across the Foxtel Group this was the No.1 most viewed round on Foxtel of all time.

All three of Saturday's matches - Wests Tigers v Sea Eagles, Roosters v Cowboys, Eels v Storm - were the most viewed in that time slot for the 2026 season.

Across four huge days of rugby league more than 170,000 fans poured through the gates at Suncorp Stadium, kicking off with 23,846 on hand to watch the Westpac NSW Blues wrap up the women's Origin series.

By the time the Panthers and Dragons brought down the curtain on the seventh edition of Magic Round, a total of 148,661 had rolled in for the NRL matches.

The 'house full' sign went up at The Cauldron on all three days and the action on the field delivered some classic contests.

And across the NRL channels the numbers sky-rocketed as fans stayed across the Magic Round action. The data reveals:

  • 50.5 million total page views across web and app
  • 11.3 million match centre views on NRL.com
  • 2.15 million total users across web and app

As always at Magic Round there was plenty for fans to do in the stadium precinct with the Caxton Street Fan Activation Zone attracting massive numbers.

More than 5000 boys and girls engaged in community activations across the annual festival of footy that is Magic Round.
