With State of Origin around the corner, we look to the first of those challenging major bye rounds and five games of footy this weekend.
Remember only your starting 13 players will score points this round.
Time to check in on who is a green dot for us this week and which players are the best to trade-in to get us a full squad.
First take: Raiders v Dolphins
Raiders v Dolphins, Thursday 7.50pm at GIO Stadium
Raiders: Ethan Strange and Hudson Young have been pulled away for the Blues while Simi Sasagi is out for 4-6 weeks with a shoulder injury. In come Daine Laurie at five-eighth and Ata Mariota and Zac Hosking in the back row. Hosking is returning from injury as is speedster Xavier Savage on the wing which pushes coach Ricky Stuart’s son Jed Stuart to the interchange along with rookie Jordan Uta.
Dolphins: The Phins have a few big names who scored the tap on the shoulder. Selwyn Cobbo, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Thomas Flegler all slated for the starting line-up for the Maroons along with Max Plath and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki who have been dominating the Fantasy charts. Lucky enough for owners Finefeuiaki is only 20th man and should be released for duties Thursday night. Jeremy Marshall-King is a close watch as he will start at hooker while Trai Fuller gets the coveted fullback position. Also returning is Tevita Naufahu on the wing and Brad Schneider who takes the five-eighth spot off the injured Kodi Nikorima.
First take: Bulldogs v Storm
Bulldogs v Storm, Friday 8.00pm at Accor Stadium
Bulldogs: Good news for Fantasy coaches with high-scoring DPP Jacob Kiraz returning on the wing replacing skipper Stephen Crichton as he fronts up to Origin camp. Enari Tuala slides into the centres and Marcelo Montoya rejoins the interchange.
Storm: As expected Cameron Munster and Harry Grant will take centre stage during next week’s Origin contest with Trent Loiero to work from the pine. Keagan Russell-Smith is the new five-eighth while Trent Toelau takes over in the No.9 with youngster Gabriel Satrick expected to play some time there off the bench. Impressive cheapie Cooper Clarke will start at lock with Alec MacDonald returning from injury in the 15 jersey.
First take: Dragons v Warriors
Dragons v Warriors, Saturday 5.30pm at Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah
Dragons: The Red V get back Jaydn Su’A from suspension but he will play in the unfamiliar centre position leaving Dylan Egan and Hamish Stewart as the edge forward pairing.
Warriors: Tanah Boyd is out for the season with an ACL so Te Maire Martin is the new half. Recently returned from injury, NSW coach Laurie Daley still saw enough from Mitchell Barnett to earn a recall into camp so Jackson Ford comes back into the starting side and could play the full 80. Also playing next Wednesday night is Kurt Capewell, his second-row spot is fitted by Jacob Laban with Eddie Ieremia-Toeava, Luke Hanson and Marata Niukore all joining the bench.
First take: Sea Eagles v Titans
Sea Eagles v Titans, Saturday 7.35pm at 4 Pines Park
Sea Eagles: After an incredible run of form, Haumole Olakau'atu earns his place in the Blues back row beside an unexpected call-up for Tolutau Koula debuting on the wing. Jackson Shereb will play edge with Hugo Hart also likely to get some game time from the bench. The backline shake-up includes Blake Wilson coming in for the injured Lehi Hopoate and Josh Feledy filling in at centre. Brandon Wakeham comes back from suspension at hooker which pushes Zach Dockar-Clay to the reserves.
Titans: Just captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and centre Jojo Fifita get the nod to wear the Maroons jersey with Moeaki Fotuaika and Jaylan De Groot their replacements. Also starting is boom edge runner Arama Hau with Chris Randall still listed in the reserves as he works through the HIA protocols.
First take: Cowboys v Rabbitohs
Cowboys v Rabbitohs, Sunday 4.05pm at Queensland Country Bank Stadium
Cowboys: Reuben Cotter is out with Origin duty to be replaced by Jason Taumalolo while Braidon Burns suffered a hamstring injury in the win over the Roosters so Rob Derby is the new winger. Kai O’Donnell and Viliami Vailea come onto the interchange bench while Wiremu Greig shifts to the reserves.
Rabbitohs: With Latrell Mitchell and Campbell Graham injured and Cam Murray unavailable due to Origin, Souths coach Wayne Bennett has been forced to call on fresh troops this weekend. In come Latrell Siegwalt and Talanoa Penitani joining the returning Alex Johnston and regular back-rower Tallis Duncan a new-look three-quarter line. Junior Tatola and Adam Elliott join the starting side in the middle with Keaon Koloamatangi shifting to the edge. Peter Mamouzelos replaces Bronson Garlick at hooker with Garlick resigned to the reserves. On the bench come Jamie Humphreys, Liam Le Blanc and Thomas Fletcher with Ed Kosi shuffling out of the starting side to join them.
