From Reuben Garrick’s ‘Gronk Spike’ to Stephen Crichton’s golden point field goal, the NRL has delivered a host of showstopping moments in Las Vegas throughout the past three years.

The Sea Eagles kicked things off with victory in the inaugural match at Allegiant Stadum, before the Roosters rounded out a double-header in 2024 with a win over Brisbane.

Rugby League Las Vegas was bigger and better in 2025, with the introduction of an English Super League clash and a historic Jillaroos Test against England.

Wigan outlasted Warrington, while Australia claimed a comprehensive win in the women’s clash. The NRL games saw Canberra storm to a resounding victory over the Warriors before Penrith launched their premiership defence with a tense win over the Sharks.

Las Vegas rewind - 2026

Super League clubs Leeds and Hull KR made the trip in 2026, with Allegiant Stadium also hosting a pair of thrilling NRL clashes. The Dylan Brown era in Newcastle opened with a win as the Knights toppled North Queensland in an entertaining contest.

Crichton then delivered Canterbury a thrilling victory over St George Illawarra to send the blue and white army into delirious scenes.

These are the biggest NRL moments at Allegiant Stadium over the years.

Garrick's Gronk Spike

Reuben Garrick Try - with a Gronk spike

The NRL had well and truly arrived in the US when Reuben Garrick pounced on a Daly Cherry-Evans grubber to score a try late in the opening match of the 2024 edition. The Manly speedster then left his mark on the Vegas fans by delivering a Gronk spike, emulating former NFL star Rob Gronkowski’s famous touchdown celebration. It was a night to remember for the Sea Eagles, who entertained the Allegiant Stadium crowd by running in six tries in a 36-24 victory over South Sydney. The match also featured plenty of star power off the field, Hugh Jackman an avid Sea Eagles fan and enjoying a win over fellow actor, and Rabbitohs part owner, Russell Crowe.

Walsh takes flight

Most watched NRL tries of 2024: 28

If Garrick laid the foundation, Reece Walsh took the inaugural edition of Rugby League Las Vegas to the next level when he latched on to a Jesse Arthars pass and produced a swan dive seen around the world. The moment was a sign of things to come for the star fullback, who would go on to become one of the biggest names in the game, a premiership winner and Clive Churchill Medallist 18 months later. The Roosters had the last laugh at Allegiant Stadium, however, Victor Radley scoring in the 71st minute to secure a 20-10 victory.

Savage sets Allegiant Stadium alight

Xavier Savage 2nd Try

Raiders fans turned Las Vegas lime green in 2025 to watch Ricky Stuart’s men open their season with a high-octane victory over the Warriors. Outside backs Xavier Savage and Seb Kris each scored doubles in the 30-8 triumph. Savage’s second saw the winger intercept a Luke Metcalf pass and race 90 metres in an electrifying moment at Allegiant Stadium. The win set the platform for a successful year, Canberra going on to claim their first minor premiership since 1990.

Critta kicks Bulldogs to victory

The winning moment: Critta delivers

The final match of Las Vegas 2026 came down to the wire, with Canterbury and St George Illawarra unable to be separated after 80 minutes of intense football. As the match entered golden point, it was up to a key figure to stand tall in the big moment. Stephen Crichton was that man, stepping up to land a 25-metre field goal and trigger jubilant scenes among the Bulldogs faithful. It was the skipper’s first one-pointer since he kicked Samoa to a historic victory over England in the 2022 World Cup semi-final and couldn’t have come at a better time.
