Bulldogs v Eels: Ciraldo sticks solid; Smith in line for return

The annual King's Birthday clash between the Bulldogs and the Eels will see both teams will be looking for a bounce back after posting Round 13 losses.

After posting a strong win over Melbourne in Round 12, the Bulldogs were unable to keep that momentum rolling in their western derby match against Wests Tigers last week, going down 22-16, but get their chance to make amends this week.

The Eels too had their moments in their match against the Knights in their 28-22 loss.

With pride on the line and a big crowd expected, both teams will be looking to put on a show.

Team News

Bulldogs: Coach Cameron Ciraldo sticks solid after the loss to Wests Tigers with the only changes coming on the interchange where Sean O'Sullivan and Logan Spinks have been added in place of Lipoi Hopoi and Jonathan Sua. Listed among the reserves are Connor Tracey (hamstring) and Marcelo Montoya (knee) as they work their way back from injury.

Eels: Tallyn Da Silva has again been named to start at hooker with Harrison Edwards on the bench but they could swap on game day as they did against the Knights. After returning from a sternum injury in NSW Cup last weekend, hooker Ryley Smith is listed among the reserves. Teancum Brown has been added to the six-man bench in place of Charlie Guymer.
