Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa has been released from NSW camp and is set to take his place in Friday's clash with the Roosters.
The playmaker was in the Blues wider squad as cover for Mitchell Moses, but he left the team's Central Coast base on Wednesday afternoon to return to his club.
Warriors veteran Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is pushing to make his return from a neck injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 7.
The outside back remains in the extended squad for Saturday's clash with the Sharks and could come into the side closer to the match.

Rabbitohs: Retired forward Jai Arrow has been named in No.23 as the rugby league community rallies to support the 30-year-old following his devastating motor-neurone disease diagnosis. Tallis Duncan is set to shift to the centres after Campbell Graham suffered a calf injury, with Euan Aitken coming into the back-row. Lachlan Hubner will start at lock with Cam Murray away on Origin duties. Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston has scored 15 tries in his last eight games at Accor Stadium.
Broncos: Coach Michael Maguire confirmed on Wednesday that Jordan Riki is on track to make his return from a foot injury. Riki is set to line up in the back-row for Brisbane's first game at Accor Stadium since last year's grand final. Jock Gosiewski will shift to prop with Payne Haas in Blues camp, while Hayze Perham replaces Reece Walsh at fullback and Antonio Verhoeven is set to line up in the centres. The Broncos will wear Jai Arrow's name and Bronco number embroidered above the club badge, with the jerseys to be auctioned off and proceeds going to Jai's family.

Dolphins: Isaiya Katoa has been released from Blues camp and is set to take his place at halfback for the Dolphins' clash with the Roosters. The youngster was part of the NSW squad as cover for five-eighth Mitchell Moses. With five players in the Maroons squad, the Dolphins depth will be tested but Kristian Woolf has backed fullback Trai Fuller, winger Tevita Naufahu, prop Felise Kaufusi, back-rower Oryn Keeley and utility Brad Schneider to step up against the Roosters.
Roosters: Trent Robinson's side is also heavily affected by Origin, with Daly Cherry-Evans to step into the No.7 jumper and Hugo Savala shifting from the centres to five-eighth. Fullback Cody Ramsey is on track to return from illness, while Tommy Talau will line up on the wing after making a successful return from a calf injury in NSW Cup last week. Centre Reece Foley has been named to make his NRL debut.

Warriors: Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad remains in the extended squad and is pushing to return from a neck injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 7. The Warriors have suffered a big blow with James Fisher-Harris ruled out due to a calf injury, while Leka Halasima remains at least another week away as he battles a hamstring injury. Tanner Stowers-Smith is set to start at prop, while Marata Niukore will line up in the back-row. Makaia Tafua is in the frame for an NRL debut off the bench after Sam Healey suffered a fractured thumb.
Sharks: Centre Jesse Ramien is on track to make his return from a knee injury that forced him out of last week's win over the Dragons. Mawene Hiroti will come into the starting side if Ramien falls short. Sione Katoa is also in the mix for a return and remains in the extended squad. Nicho Hynes remains sidelined with a calf injury, while the absence of Origin duo Addin Fonua-Blake and Briton Nikora will see Jesse Colquhoun and Billy Burns come into the starting side.

Wests Tigers: Benji Marshall's men are preparing for their last game at Leichhardt Oval before the ground is closed for a redevelopment. Taylan May is on track to return from a shoulder injury, with Sunia Turuva and Heamasi Makasini both shifting to the wing this weekend. Halfback Jock Madden is pushing to play despite injuring his arm last week, however Royce Hunt faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines with a pectoral injury.
Titans: Jaylan De Groot is set to line up in the centres in place of Queensland outside back Jojo Fifita, while Klese Haas replaces Tino Fa'asuamaleaui in the front row. Chris Randall has been ruled out after being placed in the concussion protocol, with Jett Liu coming on to the bench for a potential NRL debut.
