Super Saturday: Dragons v Tigers; Broncos v Sharks

Can the Dragons secure a second win for the season or will Wests Tigers bounce back from consecutive losses to keep their finals hopes alive?

Can the Broncos snap a disastrous seven-game losing streak or will the Sharks heap more misery on the defending champs?

An intriguing Saturday double is on the cards at Kogarah and Suncorp as passionate Dragons and Broncos fans get behind their teams in a bid to lift them out the doldrums.

40 min: Holmes has kicked a penalty goal after the halftime siren to give the Dragons a 6-4 lead as the teams leave the field for the interval.

38 min: Tigers winger Jeral Skelton has been denied a try after a forward pass from Doueihi.

35 min: Atkinson has kicked the ball dead, giving the Tigers a 7-tackle set.

34 min: Sloan has left the field with a hamstring injury. Cook has moved to left centre and Holmes to the wing. 

30 min: Another high tackle penalty against Doueihi has given the Dragons an attacking opportunity but Toby Couchman has lost the ball.

28 min: Holmes has had a try disallowed after an obstruction by Stewart on Doueihi.

26 min: Tigers prop Fonua Pole has been penalised for a high shot on Atkinson.

21 min: Sloan has scored after the Dragons went coast to coast and back again. Starting with Sloan on the left wing, the Dragons shifted the ball back towards the posts before Dylan Egan batted back a Kyle Flanagan kick for Setu Tu, who passed out to Matt Feagai. The ball was shifted back the other way until Hamish Stewart sent Sloan sailing for the line. Val Holmes conversion attempt hit the posts. Dragons 4 Tigers 4.

17 min: Rookie Tigers centre Heamasi Makasini has been called from the field for a HIA.

16 min: With Gutherson back from the bin, Tyrell Sloan has moved from fullback to left wing and the speedster almost scored - but for a trysaving tackle from Turuva.

14 min: The Tigers have lost their captain's challenge after unsuccessfully disputing a knock on call from the drop out against Starford Toa.

13 min: The Dragons have had their best set of the game so far with five-eighth Danial Atkinson landing a pin-point accurate bomb on the Tigers try line and Sunia Turuva being tackled in-goal.

9 min: Wests Tigers have built sustained pressure and halfback Adam Doueihi has scored the opening try running wide and carrying three defenders over the line. Doueihi missed the sideline conversion. Tigers 4 Dragons 0.

3 min: Early drama for the Dragons with Clint Gutherson sent to the sinbin after pulling back Jock Madden as he chased through his own kick into the in-goal.

Dragons: No changes from the tight loss to Canberra last week, with Moses Suli making his return via NSW Cup. It's been a tough year for the Dragons but they have won three of their last four against the Tigers. No changes to the 19 named on Tuesday. 

Young full of praise of his rising forwards

Wests Tigers: Bunty Afoa will start in the frontrow with Fonua Pole dropping back to the bench in a late change when the sides were finalised 90 minutes before kick-off. Jock Madden will return from a concussion to step into the No.6 jumper after Jarome Luai was ruled out due to delayed concussion symptoms. Alex Twal also returns from a knee injury after being a late withdrawal last week, with Alex Seyfarth dropping back to the six-man bench. Heamasi Makasini has moved from the interchange to the starting side after centre Taylan May was ruled out with a shoulder injury.
