Dolphins v Sharks: Stone returns: Origin guns in the mix

The Dolphins are out to rebound from a last-start loss to the Knights when they return to Redcliffe to host the in-form Sharks.

The Saturday afternoon showdown will see two premiership contenders face off at Kayo Stadium, with the winner a chance of climbing into the top four.

The Dolphins continue to be without star halfback Isaiya Katoa but experienced back up Brad Schneider is set to build on a solid performance in last week's one-point defeat to Newcastle.

Katoa's absence will see five-eighth Kodi Nikorima and hooker Jeremy Marshall-King take on greater playmaker duties, with the pair among the most creative players in the game.

Cronulla were impressive in a comprehensive victory over the Broncos last Saturday and they return to Brisbane for the second-straight week in search of another crucial win.

Halves Nicho Hynes and Braydon Trindall continue to pull the strings, while winger Sione Katoa has bounced back since returning from injury in the past month.

Team News

Dolphins: Coach Kristian Woolf has elected to name all of his Origin stars among the reserves for Saturday's clash. At this stage the only change to the squad that lost to the Knights is Ray Stone returning after being rested due to soreness last weekend. Maroons quartet Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Selwyn Cobbo, Max Plath and Thomas Flegler and Blues debutant Jack Bostock will be assessed after Wednesday night but do have the advantage of not having to travel after Game Three.

Sharks: Coach Craig Fitzgibbon sticks with the same starting side that downed the Broncos in Round 18. Origin trio Briton Nikora, Addin Fonua-Blake and Blayke Brailey are listed among the reserves and will be assessed post-match. The only change to last week's squad comes on the extended bench with winger Sam Stonestreet back in the frame after two games in NSW Cup.
