Dolphins v Cowboys: Hammer time at Suncorp; Tommy on track
The Dolphins will be hoping their can once again bounce back from a devastating defeat, but host a buoyant Cowboys side in the latest Queensland derby.
The home side were thoroughly outplayed and outclassed in a historic 66-0 loss to the Sharks last week, the first time the club has been held scoreless.
The last time they lost by 50 points however - also at Kayo Stadium - they were able to respond with two close losses to the Panthers and Warriors before going on a run and winning eight in a row.
The Cowboys are now back in the top eight after claiming a golden point win over the Sea Eagles with a field goal from Scott Drinkwater securing their 19-18 victory.
The North Queensland side are now chasing their third straight win.

Dolphins: Jack Bostock has dropped out of the squad in Saturday's 24-hour update, Brian Pouniu replacing the NSW star in the centres as he continues his recovery from a head knock suffered in the decider. Gun outside backs Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Selwyn Cobbo return to bolster the Dolphins' backline, while Jake Averillo is out with a rib complaint. In a boost for the forwards, Max Plath has been named despite hurting his ankle against the Sharks. The Dolphins have won their last five games at Suncorp Stadium.
Cowboys: Skipper Tom Dearden remains in the extended squad after Saturday's 24-hour update. The playmaker hasn't played since suffering a syndesmosis injury in Round 10 but everything points to the star playmaker being called up from the reserves list closer to game day. “Things are looking positive,” coach Todd Payten said. “He’s going to get some running on (Wednesday) and join the team for our main session. As long as he pulls up from that we expect him to play.” Kiwi Griffin Neame starts at prop in place of Tom Mikaele, who suffered delayed concussion symptoms following Sunday’s win over Manly and will be subject to the NRL’s 11-day stand-down period. Kaiden Lahrs and Kai O'Donnell were the two players to drop out of the squad on Saturday.
