The Brisbane Broncos can confirm that Adam Reynolds will not be available for selection for the remaining two NRL games against the Storm and Bulldogs due to ongoing injury concerns regarding his calves.
Reynolds spoke on Brisbane radio confirming he has played his last NRL game.
“All NRL careers come to an end and unfortunately mine is today, I won’t be playing this week or next week,” Reynolds said.
“The left calf was giving me nerve issues, and then I had a little grade one strain in the right calf which has not bounced back as quickly as I would’ve liked.
“I trained today and thought I would be a chance to play one last home game… but it’s not to be.
“I felt pretty good out there… but I had some conversations with Madge and the medical staff and they were quite concerned with the limited training I’ve done in the past couple of weeks.
I’ve had a great career…I’m extremely fortunate I get to carry some great memories moving forward.

Growing up across the road from Redfern Oval, Adam Reynolds spent hours honing his craft with the goal of playing in the NRL.
That dream became reality in 2012 when he debuted for his hometown club against arch-rivals the Roosters.
Over the next decade, Reynolds cemented himself as a South Sydney great, playing more than 230 games, becoming the Club’s all-time leading points scorer and helping deliver the 2014 premiership.
After 10 seasons in the red and green, the champion halfback made the move north to Brisbane in 2022, taking on the Broncos captaincy.
In 2025, Reynolds led the Broncos to their first premiership in 19 years, finishing the season with four tries, 17 try assists and 81 goals at an exceptional 85 per cent accuracy.
He finishes his decorated NRL career with 323 games over 15 seasons, two premierships across two clubs and is the second-highest points scorer in NRL history with more than 2,500 points.
“I had a fair mentorship coming through and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to be towards younger fellas,” Reynolds said.
“Hopefully I’ve given them the opportunity to experience some great things that I have throughout my career.
“I would like to think that I’ve contributed to a fair few people in my time of playing rugby league.”
