NRLW Late Mail: Round 9 - Brigginshaw boost for Broncos

A few experienced faces make their comeback across the competition this week, headlined by the return of Broncos five-eighth Ali Brigginshaw.

The Jillaroos captain is back from a three-game suspension, with Brisbane losing all three matches in her absence.

Other representative names to make their return include forward Rima Butler for the Roosters in their match against Sharks, while Cronulla half Georgia Hannaway is also named for Saturday's game.

Titans: No changes to the side who are gunning for eight straight wins against the Raiders. Star recruit Teagan Levi has been cleared of any ankle concern and will partner with Lauren Brown in the halves. Captain Georgia Hale, named at hooker, will play her 50th game for the club.

Raiders: Injury has forced a change in the second row with Hollie-Mae Dodd to come from the bench to start in the place of Charlotte Basham, who failed her HIA last week. Lili Boyle is the new face on the bench after coach Darrin Borthwick said she impressed for Mounties. "I feel Lily will contribute to to our pack as well, so very happy for Lil and she has been very patient and she deserves her opportunity this weekend." Evie McGrath has been named as 18th player, while Madison Bartlett has been named in the reserves.

Madison Ashby shifts back to the centres, moving Cassie Staples to the wing with Marewa Samson to the reserves. However, Ellie Johnston is out due to suspension. Cowboys: No changes to the 1-17 who held on for their win over the Dragons last week. Charlize Lloyd-Phillips - who made club history as the first player to score an NRLW hat-trick - remains on the wing. The only change sees Kayla Jackson named as 18th player in place of Emily Veivers.

Knights: Lilly-Ann White has been named at fullback, shifting Lucy Spain to the bench despite a late switch last week. Other changes see Fane Finau promoted from 18th player to start in the second row, swapping roles with Jules Kirkpatrick. "Fane was moved back to New South Wales Women's Premiership to work on a couple of things and she played really well on the weekend," coach Ben Jeffries said of the switch. "We pulled her off with about 20 minutes to go in that game, so she'd done enough and she's been elevated into our pack this week."

This moves Metanoia Fetalaiga to the reserves, where she is joined by Mya Hill-Moana, with Ashlee Matapo elevated to the bench. In the forwards, stand-in captain Kaiyah Atai starts in the second row, with Maarire Puketapu to start at lock.

Dragons: With Shenae Ciesiolka out with a quad injury, Tyra Ekepati will start at centre. Nita Maynard-Perrin is out with a dislocated elbow, so skipper Brooke Anderson shifts to hooker, with Hannah Southwell starting at lock.
