A disappointing season comes to an end for the Bulldogs and Broncos as they kick off Round 27 at Accor Stadium.
At this very same ground 11 months ago, the Broncos savoured a magical moment when they ran down the Storm to claim the club's seventh premiership, but their title defence has been a disaster.
The Bulldogs were also part of the finals action last year after finishing the regular season in third place but they have mustered just 11 wins in 2026 and will be left to ponder what might have been.
This game offers the chance for one club to salvage some pride and head into the off-season on a positive note so that should be motivation enough.
