NRLW Sunday: Eels edge Raiders; Titans, Broncos claim key wins

Full-time: Rachael Pearson has nailed a field goal as time expires to deliver Parramatta a thrilling one-point win. Canberra made another error inside their own half to hand the Eels a second shot at victory and Pearson made no mistake. The Eels built the victory on the back of a staunch defensive effort with the Raiders throwing plenty at their opponents but only managing three tries. The loss means Canberra's bid for a maiden finals berth will go down to the final round, with the Raiders needing a win over the Tigers on Friday night to secure their spot in the top six. Raiders 16 - Eels 17.

69th minute: Rachael Pearson's field goal attempt sails wide. Canberra have 60 seconds and seven tackles to roll down the field and attempt a shot of their own. Raiders 16 - Eels 16. 

68th minute: Canberra's Grace Kemp has spilled the ball near halfway and Parramatta will have an attacking set of six to break the deadlock. Look for Rachael Pearson to step up for the field goal attempt. Raiders 16 - Eels 16.

67th minute: Isabella Waterman has scored in the corner and it's now up to Zehara Temara to step up to attempt a sideline conversion. The halfback produced a long cutout pass to fullback Sheridan Gallagher, who had the last pass to Waterman for the try. Temara makes no mistake with the conversion and we are all locked up with three minutes to play. Raiders 16 - Eels 16.

65th minute: The Raiders will have a chance to level the scores after Parramatta spilled the ball inside their own half. With just five minutes remaining, time is starting to work against the hosts. Raiders 10 - Eels 16.

62nd minute: We've got a stoppage after Martha Mataele collided with Isabella Waterman after racing through in an attempt to catch a bomb. The Eels winger went low in an attempt to make a tackle but came off second best and will leave the field for an HIA. Raiders 10 - Eels 16.

60th minute: Parramatta have lodged a Captain's Challenge after Rory Owen was taken into touch while racing down the sideline. The centre attempted to throw the ball back in field but replays show she touched the line before releasing the ball and the challenge is dismissed. Raiders 10 - Eels 16.

58th minute: Another big moment in this game with Canberra's Simaima Taufa sent to the sin bin for a hip-drop tackle on Abbi Church. The lock was attempting to prevent Church from scoring and dragged her back from the line but fell on her legs in the process. Parramatta quickly capitalised on the advantage, Rory Owen powering through multiple defenders to get drive over the line and get the ball down. Rachael Pearson's conversion attempt from out wide hits the post and it's a six-point ball game. Raiders 10 - Eels 16.

56th minute: Rachael Pearson has produced a series of big plays defensively and now she's come up with a match-turning play with the boot. The Eels halfback nailed a sensational 40-30 to flip the momentum and put her side on the attack for the first time in a very long time. Raiders 10 - Eels 12.

48th minute: The Raiders have their second but the Bunker will take a close look at this. Zahara Temara put up a bomb on the last, Leianne Tufuga went up to catch it and spilt the ball but knocked it back. Charlotte Basham was on the spot to pick up the loose ball and wrestled a couple of defenders on the ground to get the ball down. The Bunker has reviewed the play and given it the all clear. Temara's sideline conversion bounced off the post and Parramatta cling on to a two-point lead. Raiders 10 - Eels 12.

45th minute: The Raiders have dominated the opening exchanges of the second half and continue to pepper the Parramatta line. The Eels refuse to break and have repelled multiple waves of Canberra attack to maintain their six-point lead. Raiders 6 - Eels 12.

41st minute: This time there's no stopping Sheridan Gallagher. A well-placed Zahara Temara bomb drew an error and a repeat set and the playmaker delivered the final pass to her fullback, who was able to squeeze between a couple of defenders and fight to slam the ball down. Raiders 6 - Eels 12.

40th minute: It's taken 40 minutes but it appears the Raiders have broken through. Jordyn Preston came close on one tackle before Sheridan Gallagher attempted to burrow over from dummy half on the following play. Multiple Eels attempted to hold her up but the referee awarded the try. The Bunker has taken a close look at it and deemed Abbi Church managed to get under the ball and hold it up. That's the third time a Raider has been held up tonight. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

37th minute: What a start to the second half. The Raiders rolled down the field with the opening set of the match, Jordyn Preston weaving past multiple defenders and looking certain to score before Chloe Jackson produced a try-saving tackle. Canberra then shifted the ball and Isabella Waterman got over the line but was held up by the desperate Parramatta defence. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

Kick-off: We are back for the second half, with the Raiders eager to hit back early as they attempt to mount a comeback. Canberra had plenty of opportunities in the opening 35 minutes but couldn't break through. Parramatta built their lead on the back of a staunch defensive effort and they'll be looking to continue that in the second half. Raiders 0 - Eels 12. 

Half-time: Parramatta will take a 12-point lead into the sheds courtesy of a resilient defensive effort. The Eels made the most of limited attacking chances and repelled multiple waves of Canberra attacking opportunities to maintain a clean sheet. An intriguing second half looms, with the Raiders desperate to strike first to get back in the contest. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

33rd minute: Rachael Pearson has saved another try. Zahara Temara ran the ball on the last before putting in a chip over the top. Isabella Waterman scooped up the ball before passing back inside to Temara, but Pearson was racing back to intercept the pass. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

29th minute: We're off to the Bunker with the Raiders claiming a try. Rachael Pearson has produced a mammoth effort to get her leg under the ball and prevent Bobbi Law from getting it down. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

27th minute: The Raiders continue to build pressure with Sheridan Gallagher forcing a second-straight line dropout. The Parramatta defence continues to hold firm but the fatigue is starting to build. Raiders 0 - Eels 12.

21st minute: The Eels have been rewarded for their earlier defensive resolve with Boss Kapua crashing over from short range to score her first NRLW try. The prop got in between a couple of Canberra defenders and there was no stopping her. Raiders 0 - Eels 12. 

19th minute: Parramatta have turned the Raiders away on multiple occasions and now they have an opportunity of their own to strike. A Canberra error has put the visitors back on the attack and they're looking to extend their lead. Raiders 0 - Eels 6.

11th minute: The Raiders have rebounded from the early try and have been threatening the Eels line but thus far have been unable to break through. The first attacking raid ended with an error while Eels fullback Abbi Church was just collected high after picking up a well-placed grubber. Raiders 0 - Eels 6.

4th minute: It's a dream start for the Eels, who strike first. A penalty put the visitors on the attack and the halves combined perfectly to put centre Rory Owen through a gap. The Queensland representative ran a superb line to score the opening points of the game. Raiders 0 - Eels 6.

Kick-off: We underway in Canberra, with the Raiders looking to secure their place in the top six with a win. It's been a tough year for Parramatta but they've found form in the past few weeks and would love to play finals spoilers tonight. Raiders 0 - Eels 0.

Raiders: Bobbi Law's return from a hand injury has been locked in but the Raiders have made a slight reshuffle in the backline from Saturday's 24-hour update. Law came into the side on the wing but will now line up in the centres, with Isabella Waterman shifting to the wing. Elise Simpson dropped out of the squad with an ongoing ankle injury in Saturday's update. The Green Machine welcome back Charlotte Basham into the second row, seeing Hollie-Mae Dodd shift back to the bench, with Lili Boyle reverting to the 18th player role. 

Eels: A couple of late changes for the Eels, with Layne Morgan shifting from the bench to start at hooker, Chloe Jackson coming into the back-row and Rueben Cherrington added to the interchange. Fontayne Tufuga moves to the bench and Taneka Todhunter drops out of the squad. The side welcomed back Kennedy Cherrington in last week's loss to the Broncos and she is named on the bench alongside sister Rueben.

Full-time: The Titans have recorded the biggest victory in the history of their NRLW program, running in 10 tries to claim a comprehensive 58-0 win. Jaime Chapman scored a first-half hat-trick, while Indie Bostock and Destiny Mino-Sinapati each scored doubles to help their side secure second place on the ladder. There are injury concerns for both sides, Gold Coast's Teagan Levi suffering a suspected facial fracture while Tigers duo Kezie Apps and Faythe Manera left the field with leg injuries.

67th minute: Evania Isa'ako set up a try a littler earlier and now she's scored one of her own. The playmaker put the ball on the toe, chased her own kick, regathered it and fought through the tackle to get the ball down. Tigers 0 - Titans 58.

63rd minute: Gold Coast have reached the half century, Destiny Mino-Sinapati stretching out to ground the ball amid a desperate cover tackle by Harmony Crichton. The Titans attacked down the short side, Lauren Brown weighed up her options before throwing the cutout pass to her winger. Tigers 0 - Titans 52.

59th minute: The Titans have done plenty of defence in the second half but they've just shown how good they can be with ball in hand. Evania Isa'ako produced a floating cut out pass to a charging Indie Bostock, who raced down the sideline to score the try. While she started in the back-row, Isa'ako has shifted to the halves after Teagan Levi was ruled out at half-time. Tigers 0 - Titans 46. 

58th minute: Now a Tigers Captain's Challenge after they were ruled to have lost the ball in the tackle. There were a couple of Titans in the tackle but they did not interfere with the play and the challenge is quickly dismissed. Titans ball and neither side has a challenge left. Tigers 0 - Titans 42. 

55th minute: The Tigers have another opportunity to get on the scoreboard with a well-placed bomb forcing a Gold Coast error. The hosts have had plenty of opportunities in the second half but thus far have not been able to convert. Tigers 0 - Titans 42. 

47th minute: We're off to the Bunker after Raecene McGregor put the ball into the in-goal with a well-placed grubber. Brooke Talataina raced through and got a hand to it but was unable to ground the ball. It's a knock on and the Titans maintain their clean sheet. Tigers 0 - Titans 42. 

46th minute: Now it's the Tigers turn to lodge a Captain's Challenge with the hosts alleging a Gold Coast strip. The Bunker agrees, ruling Indie Bostock ripped the ball out. It's a Tigers penalty and a chance to strike back. Tigers 0 - Titans 42.

43rd minute: The Titans have lodged a Captain's Challenge after they were ruled to have spilled the ball in the play the ball. It is quickly dismissed, with the Tigers handed an attacking set of six. The hosts have been dealt a blow, however, captain Kezie Apps leaving the field with a leg injury. Tigers 0 - Titans 42.

42nd minute: There have been promising signs from the Tigers to start the second half but it's the Titans who strike first. An error handed the visitors a chance to counter attack and they worked their way down the field before Sarina Masaga burst through to extend her side's lead. Tigers 0 - Titans 42. 

38th minute: The Titans successfully defended the repeat set but they have been dealt a blow with Teagan Levi failing her HIA. In more concerning news, there are fears she has suffered a facial fracture and she will require scans to determine the extent of the injury. Tigers 0 - Titans 36. 

Kick-off: We are back for the second half with the Tigers to have first use of the ball. They will need to improve their completion rate if they want to get back in this contest and they've got an early result with a repeat set from a nasty bomb. Tigers 0 - Titans 36. 

Half-time: That is time on a dominant half of football for the Titans but it does end on a slightly sour note. Five-eighth Teagan Levi has left the field for an HIA and with blood streaming from her nose after a head clash. Gold Coast ran in six tries in the first half with Jaime Chapman scoring a hat-trick. The break gives the Tigers a chance to regroup and refocus before coming back out for the second. Tigers 0 - Titans 36. 

34th minute: Raecene McGregor produced a trick play off the kick-off to regain possession for her side. The Tigers came close to crossing for their first try of the afternoon, however Sarah Togatuki spilled the ball in a tackle and the chance goes amiss. Tigers 0 - Titans 36.

33rd minute: The Titans have turned defence into attack to go 100 metres and extend their lead. The Tigers looked destined to score but Lily Rogan was unable to scoop up a bouncing ball. Teagan Levi picked it up and raced away before eventually being dragged down. The Tigers scrambled but couldn't deny Jaime Chapman, who has a first-half hat-trick. Amid the drama, Faythe Manera suffered a leg injury while trying to tackle Levi. Tigers 0 - Titans 36.

30th minute: The onslaught continues with the Titans keeping pace with the clock. This one was also slightly fortuitous, with the ball hitting the deck before Lauren Brown scooped it up and offloaded to Jaime Chapman. The centre beat a couple of defenders before sending Destiny Mino-Sinapati through a hole for the try. Tigers 0 - Titans 30.

24th minute: The first-half pattern continues for the Titans. The Tigers conceded another penalty to put the visitors straight back on the attack and they happily took advantage. This time it was Jaime Chapman who darted from dummy half to score her second try of the afternoon. Tigers 0 - Titans 22.

20th minute: The Gold Coast onslaught continues, Lauren Brown taking a quick tap and weaving past multiple retreating defenders before bumping off the fullback to score her side's third. Tigers 0 - Titans 18. 

15th minute: The Tigers have generated their first attacking opportunity of the game but it has all come unstuck. Losana Lutu was unable to reel in a late Kezie Apps offload, with the Titans regaining possession and now working their way into attacking territory. Tigers 0 - Titans 12.

11th minute: The Titans have a second, Jaime Chapman scoring in her return from a calf injury. Lauren Brown put up a towering bomb that hung up in the breeze and dipped away from Faythe Manera at the last moment. The Tigers fullback was unable to reel the ball in, Destiny Mino-Sinapati scooped it up before sending Chapman over. Tigers 0 - Titans 12.

5th minute: The Titans have the first points of the game, Indie Bostock capitalising on a Tigers error. The mistake handed the visitors prime field position and they produced a big shift to the right, Lauren Brown holding up the defenders through the middle of the field before Bostock broke a couple of tackles on the way to the tryline. Tigers 0 - Titans 6.

Kick-off: We are underway in this clash between second and third on the ladder. The Titans are riding an eight-game winning streak while the Tigers have been the big improvers of 2026. Gold Coast can wrap up second place with a victory but it won't be easy against a Tigers side looking to build towards the finals. Tigers 0 - Titans 0.

Rikeya Horne made her long-awaited return last week after taking a season off to have twins and has been named in the centres.

Full time: The Dragons get one more crack at the Broncos line, but the visitors scramble well to protect their lead and secure back-to-back wins.

67 min: Kasey Reh gets over the line for the Dragons next to the posts. After a few repeat sets on the Broncos line, Reh decides to step off her left and take on the line, powering through some feeble defence to score her first NRLW four-pointer. Maria Paseka converts the try. Broncos lead 24-16

 

63 min: The Dragons are doing a fantastic job making metres with strong runs down the middle, finding space in behind the ruck and consistently going over 50 metres per set. Last tackle options are letting them down and easily being cleaned up by the Broncos.

60 min: The Dragons do a fantastic job to scramble to keep the Broncos out on last tackle. The play after some interplay between Tamika Upton and Romy Teitzel to put Julia Robinson in sight of the line, Upton tries a short ball to a runner and she is tackled. The Broncos had an opportunity to score had they shifted wide left.

58 min: Strong defence from the Broncos to push the Dragons back in goal on play two earns them a repeat set. Tavarna Papalii is a metre from the try line and jumps out of dummy half trying to find a runner, but Dragons fullback Teagan Berry sticks her hand and takes a fortunate intercept.

Injury update: Julia Robinson will return to the field after passing her HIA.

53 min: Shenae Ciesiolka doesn't make a mistake this time and scores to put the Dragons back in it. On the back of the Broncos making an error off the kickoff, the Dragons shift left targeting the edge where Bree Spreadborough is defending in place of Julia Robinson and strip the Broncos for numbers to enable the try. Ciesiolka stays down after scoring due to copping a shin to the side from the cover defence, but returns to her feet after some treatment. Maria Paseka can't convert from the sideline. Broncos lead 24-10

49 min: It's been a long time coming, but Tamika Upton finally has a try. The Broncos fullback is mounting up a ridiculous stat line as she finds open passage down the left. This time she steps off her left to take on Teagan Berry and despite a hint of a hair pull delaying her, Upton falls over the line to score. She currently has four line breaks and two try assist to go with her try. Jesse Southwell converts the try. Broncos 24-6

45 min: Shenae Ciesiolka drops it with the try line open! The Dragons put together another strong set and take advantage of Julia Robinson being out of position after receiving treatment for an earlier injury and the ball heads out left but is just out in front of Ciesiolka, who had an open passage to the line. Robinson was sore coming out of a tackle attempt and is ultimately sent for HIA.

43 min: The Broncos go close after a shift to the right that has Deleni Paitai making a beeline for the corner dreaming of her first try, but she's felled and loses the ball on the ground.

40 min: The Broncos have upped their defensive pressure and keep the Dragons to a 25m set, which ends early when Tori Shipton decides to put a short chip and chase over the top on fourth tackle and it bounces straight to the Broncos advantage just their own side of half way.

38 min: The Broncos threaten on their first set of the half when fullback Tamika Upton surges through the line and she isolates the fullback, but decides to pass inside to Romy Teitzel when she could possibly have taken a line to the corner to score. On the next play, Jada Ferguson goes for a dart out of dummy half and makes an error.

Half-time: The Broncos take an 18-6 lead after taking their few chances in the opening half in Wollongong. The stats suggest they should be behind, operating at a 60% completion rate with the Dragons dominating field position and possession. The Broncos started strongly with a try after 75 seconds, but have struggled with their discipline, interspersed with moments of brilliance from Jesse Southwell and Tamika Upton.

35 min: The Dragons look to be over after the buzzer. Kasey Reh chips it up on the final play and there's a goal mouth scramble. The ball falls to Tori Shipton but she can't quite grasp it before getting to ground and the Broncos breathe a sigh of relief.

32 min: The Broncos have extended their lead through Georgia Bartlett. Running it on last tackle, the Dragons rush up on Jesse Southwell, who gives it to Tamika Upton on her outside and she streams through. With Dragons defenders covering the support, she grubbers through and the ball hits the post pad, bounces backwards towards the dead ball line and Bartlett grounds it despite Dragons fullback Teagan Berry kicking at the ball. Jesse Southwell converts from adjacent the posts. Broncos 18-6

26 min: The Dragons once again get multiple sets on the Broncos line, but can't pick up points. Broncos centre Georgia Bartlett made an error off the kick-off following their go-ahead try and the Dragons earned two repeat sets. Dragons fullback Teagen Berry looked to have created an opportunity and had Maria Paseka staring at the line, but her offload back inside is picked off by Bartlett.

22 min: The Broncos are back in front through a try to Lauren Dam. They shift left just inside the Dragons half and Tamika Upton steps of her left an accelerates to poke her nose through, then get an offload away to Dam, who has plenty of work to do to beat Teagan Berry and drag her over the try line to score. Jesse Southwell kicks the sideline conversion. Broncos 12-6

19 min: The Broncos get a great chance to attack after the Dragons hand it over on their own 40 after failing to get a kick away on last tackle. There's no way down the edges and Ali Brigginshaw's last tackle kick goes straight to a Dragons defender.

15 min: Brooke Anderson is over under the posts for the Dragons. It looked way too easy and there's a good reason, as the Bunker finds Hannah Southwell's lead run obstructed a defender. The Dragons are enjoying plenty of attacking opportunities thanks to poor discipline from the Broncos, including handling errors and high tackles.

11 min: Kerri Johnson looks to be on her way to the try line for the Broncos after a double cutout pass from Ali Brigginshaw, but the pass is called forward.

9 min: A well deserved try for the home side through Ella Koster! After starting a set inside the Broncos 20m zone, it comes to last tackle and Kasey Reh drops a grubber on her left foot across the face of the goalposts and the bounce evades the Broncos defenders and Koster is there to pounce. The Dragons had put together a strong 50m set out of their own end, including a couple of incisive runs from Maria Paseka, then received a penalty coming into the last tackle to camp inside the 20. Paseka's conversion is successful. Scores level 6-6

5 min: The Dragons get an opportunity to hit pack immediately after a forward pass from Broncos fullback Tamika Upton in the return set after points. After looking dangerous on attack, the chance is lost after an error from Amelia Huakau.

3 min: The Broncos are here to play and Julia Robinson is over inside 90 seconds! The visitors put in a powerful opening set, going nearly 60 metres, before Dragons fullback Teagan Berry spilled a Jesse Southwell bomb. The play after Ali Brigginshaw dived on and recovered the loose ball, the Broncos shift right and Robinson steps inside the cover defence to score. Southwell converts the try. Broncos 6-0

Kickoff: It's another beautiful day for rugby league in Wollongong and it's the Broncos who get first use of the ball. The battle of the Southwells should be a highlight, with Dragon Hannah casually flipping the bird to her Broncos sister Jesse as she took the field.

Dragons: Shenae Ciesiolka was added to the starting side on Saturday as she makes a return from a quad injury against her old club, so Jayme Millard reverts to 18th player. Ahlivia Ingram joins the interchange in place of Seriah Palepale (stood down). No further changes were made in the 90-minute squad update.

Broncos: The Broncos will line up as named on Tuesday. Brianna Clark is back from suspension and starts at prop, moving Reegan Hicks back to the bench. Other changes see Tavarna Papalii come on to the bench for her Brisbane debut, with Rhemy Hinckesman shifted to 18th player. Jesse Southwell is set to become the youngest player to reach 50 NRLW games aged just 21, surpassing Roosters prop Otesa Pule who will set the mark on Saturday at 23.
