Panthers v Roosters: Yeo locked in; Big guns set for return
Two heavy-weights of the competition go toe-to-toe in what shapes as an epic encounter.
The Panthers claimed the minor premiership in the final game of the final round, but the Roosters were also contenders to take the crown in the late stages of the season before an upset loss to Wests Tigers threw them of course.
While this contest is being robbed of a battle between their young star halfbacks Nathan Cleary and Sam Walker with the injury to the Queensland star, the experienced Daly Cherry-Evans is a true competitor and up for the task.
The match up in the forwards is another to watch with interest to see who can get on the front foot to lay the platform for the halves to go to work.
With both sides boasting genuine try-scorers on their wings as well, it should be an entertaining contest with some exciting four-pointers scored.

Panthers: Skipper Isaah Yeo returns to the starting side in his second game back from a pectoral injury so Lindsay Smith shifts to prop and Liam Henry goes to the bench. Scott Sorensen re-joins the bench after he was rested last following a gruelling campaign in which he had played every match. Luron Patea is the man to make way from last week's six-man interchange.
Roosters: The big guns are back for the Roosters with James Tedesco, Billy Smith, Rob Toia, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Daly Cherry-Evans, Naufahu Whyte, Reece Robson, Lindsay Collins and Siua Wong all named to start after being rested last week while Angus Crichton joins the bench after 11 games out with a foot injury and Victor Radley returns from concussion. Cherry-Evans takes over at halfback with Sam Walker gone for the season and will team with Hugo Savala in the No.6.
