Lucky charms: Bostocks hoping to keep winning streak alive

"I'm glad he is playing first so if he breaks it then there is no pressure on me at all," Indie said when asked about their success so far.

"I like that we are winners in the family but I am trying not to think too much about it because it is going to start getting competitive.

"My dad takes most of the credit for it. My mum grew up a netballer so she can't really say much. Dad likes to say he has some super gene."

Indie's partner Tevita Naufahu also plays for the Dolphins and was named in the extended squad for the NRL preliminary final.

However, if he doesn't feature in that game, he will line up on the wing for the Redcliffe Cup side, who play their grand final against the Sunshine Coast Falcons on Saturday.

If both Bostock siblings can get the job in their preliminary finals, a victory there could see Naufahu in the line-up for the side in the NRL State Championship game which is played before the NRLW and NRL deciders, offering a 'triple header' for the family.

"That would be really sick if that did happen, hopefully it does," Indie said.

"I have no doubt in any of us that we will make it there, but that will be a good day for the family."

Making her NRLW debut with the Dragons last year, Bostock made the move up to the Gold Coast with no guarantees of a contract, but since getting the call from Titans coach Karyn Murphy has put her best foot forward. 

"It has been super exciting (being part of the Titans season)," Bostock said.

"I've loved it this year. I came here not knowing what would happen, but I have put in the work and I've worked really closely with Murph and Boothy (assistant  coach Aaron Booth) ... so I'm grateful that I'm in the team and that I'm playing week-in, week-out, so it's been good."

For Jack, there was definitely competition between the siblings, but a lot of support too. 

“I suppose it's healthy competition, but we're definitely both supportive of each other and both want to go out there and win this weekend and be playing there on grand final day, it'll be a good day for our family," Jack said. 

“It's not too far from Sydney, just up the road from where they live, so I'm sure both our parents will be kicking us home this weekend, hoping they've got two kids playing in the grand final week which will be pretty special for the family."

With history there for the taking for the Dolphins, Bostock said while he wasn't thinking about his and Indie's record this year, he was focusing on doing what he could to keep his win streak going, starting with Friday's preliminary final against the Roosters. 

“Herbie (Farnworth) always brings it up ... he reckons I don't stop talking about it ... but it's obviously pretty cool, but it's definitely not something that I've been worrying about," Bostock said. 

“Obviously, wins and losses come with footy and I've learnt that in my first few years.

“We definitely lost more games than we won, so it's good to be on the opposite end of that this year.

"Hopefully we can go out there and get one more win this weekend and then focus on just one more after that."
